Went for a nice family day out with our 4 month old baby and our friends. My friend took my baby to be changed and it came to light there were no baby changing facilities. one of the waitresses called Frankie them asked my friend to change my baby on the floor of the toilets which she did the came and told me. Understandably I was very cross but didn't say anything till I went to change her myself and a lovely lady called Chloe told me to use a corner booth and a blonde lady came and asked me to change her in the toilet which I refused to do. She then converted and let me change her in the booth. As I walked away this Frankie girl decided to mention it isn't a restaurant and I should change her on the bathroom floor. My child has human rights. The floors are disgusting and I am fuming that this request was made. The place serves food and advertises as being family friendly. Clearly not. This is my local pub and I am very very disappointed in its staff. However Chloe was lovely and is amazing...
Read more8 year old daughter put hand on chair, a screw was coming through from the bottom and peirced her skin, in floods of tears, no apology, no small act of kindness (bit of ice cream) and certainly no remorse.
what really ruined the day was being told that a large alsatian type dog was in the garden and i quote "its a guard dog so dont go near it" took priority on a nice sunny day and 6 children aged from 3 to 9 were forced to sit inside.

Read moreThis is a busy pub, a trades pub. Has a real beer garden (overlooking morrisons) unlike the forge inn. Good beer selection and two ales on (tiger and sunchaser) which means they are selling ale, however the beer I had was off and apparently it was the first pull of the day (1545). Tasted like the pipes hadn't been cleaned and the staff were not cellermen. Now this, again, is a busy pub, this place would do far better ditching the ale and concentrating in keg. Its got more character...
