Costa Coffee Tibshelf Northbound — Restaurant in Bolsover

Poor service and an incredibly rude barista with no people or customer service skills.

Ordered a plain iced latte for my partner which when received was laced with copious amounts of syrup, despite the drink clearly being listed on the official Costa menu online as having NO SYRUP and being requested as such. The result was a waste of a beverage, time and money as this could not be replaced as we were on the M1 when this unrequested addition was discovered and no other branch would be able to assist or replace.

This is dangerous as adding ingredients which are not listed or requested by the customer is a controvension of food safety laws and had this been a known allergen such as Wheat or Nuts an allergic reaction could have been caused.

Extremely Disappointing Experience

I had a really bad experience at this Costa location. The staff were rude and unprofessional throughout. I ordered a frappe which was handed to me completely cream spilled and sticky on the outside – it was so messy we could barely hold it, no tissues were given along to hold. When I informed them that the self-service machine wasn’t working, they didn’t seem to care at all. Instead, I was told (rather rudely) to go to the till and order there. Another OK experience. Not good, definitely not worth the money, just OK. Just ordered a Ruby hot chocolate from the drive through and it was luke warm at best. Too late to take it back as we were already back on the motorway.

No chocolate flavour either, just a warm-ish cup of milk. Really disappointed as I use this Costa every so often and the drinks are so inconsistent.
