The George & Dragon — Restaurant in Bolsover

First time we've ever been, but we can assure ya, it won't be the last. From the moment we walked in the door, we were made to feel welcome by the landlord. Managed to find a good seat straight away, which is always a good thing in a strange place. The locals were very welcoming as well, they made us feel very relaxed, not something you find everywhere. We went because we wanted to see the Elvis tribute act Martin, and he didn't disappoint, he was fantastic as per usual. We can't rate the food on this review, because we didn't have any, but if its anything like the rest of the experience, I'm sure it will be very good. One of the best nights out we've had for a long time. Like I said before, we will be back. The George & Dragon at Newton is a lovely homely pub and restaurant with the best & most friendly landlord /lady you could ever meet. BRIAN & SUE & son JOSH. The food is all homely cooked to your liking and plenty of it too. (There's not many that can eat plate full of Brian's super Sunday Roasts) Now here's the sad bit ☹️☹️☹️ the hosts of this lovely establishment are being moved on by the brewery with nowhere to go!!! How cruel some people are. Brian is hoping to get another pub not too far away, so they can depend on our support wherever they go and we hope his regulars do the same to teach the brewery a lesson. We shared my nieces beautiful Baby shower last Sunday at the George and Dragon. It was organised by her older sister KK, who made it a fun pack day. People laughed and was so happy it was nice to see. The buffet was done by the ladies in the kitchen, at the George and Dragon. The prepriotor mark and partner made a great job of making everything run smoothly. Thank you so much greatly appreciated. Fantastic buffet👌👌The cake and the Fairy cakes were really tasty wow!!!
