The New Inn — Restaurant in Bolsover

AVIOD LIKE THE PLAGUE- booked 2 nights didn’t even stay 1 !! Arrived to find the place is only open Fri, Sat and Sun.( we had booked mon and tues ) Was only shear luck we found someone to let us into our room . I say room it will probably feature as some sort of crime scene in the future , was definitely giving off that vibe . Trying to stay positive I thought I would make a cup of tea , the two teabags provided looked like they had already tried to escape their captivity and given up all hope of forever being a decent cuppa . As I entered the bathroom it was clear a brunette had taken full advantage of the bath (plenty of hairs available if police need a dna match for the future ) . The pub was completely shut and we found ourselves unable to buy any food anywhere in local vicinity .( 5 mile radius , no shop , garage or even take away ) The only other pub was open , looked like a better option for dinner- but would you believe it , only serves food on thurs , fri and Sat !! Surviving on a bag on midget gems we packed our bags ( not that they had been unpacked , but to add effect ) we dropped our room key in the post box provided ( self service reception ) and...

Will never go back On arrival didnt ask names no forms to fill in got to our room wasnt clean hairs and stains on the sheet Got another room was small and felt really closed in Shower wasnt the best Tiolet was held together with expanding foam Laminate in the bedroom was all lifting Bathroom cabinets was filthy and full of cobwebs Then the music and noise from the pub was horrendous should of been told beforehand that they had bands playing No breakfast served no food till late at night 8pm Blood stains on wall Hairs on the wall Never ever going back Avoid like the plague Oh and no channels on the TV only...

A great village pub which manages the difficult task of attracting both young and older drinkers. They serve food and have a good selection of draught real ales & ciders (with regularly changing guest ales), besides all the usual drinks you'd expect. A few years ago the New Inn was fully renovated in a modern and tasteful manner. Part of the car park was converted into a large decked terrace / beer garden, which is superb!
