Bangla Kitchen — Restaurant in Bolton

Got a leaflet through door so thought I would give it a try. 1 guy in takeaway when I got there he made a quick call and 2 smart young ladies arrived. The ladies were the chef's which is unusual but I have had this before in Leigh. Took about 30 minutes to cook my chicken vindaloo and my mrs's chicken tikka dupiaza they cooked in front of me and chatted throughout. The vindaloo was not like any vindaloo I have had before from a takeaway (No tomato puree) it was more authentic with potatoes, very nice flavours and nice use of spices. Mrs enjoyed hers too. Food arrived late. I rang and they said they are giving complementary onion bhajis. They tasted ok but were cold and rock hard and crunchy. Ordered a chicken tikka jeera which tasted funny (not like a curry), bland and not much chicken. Food was oily which leaked in the bag on the other items. Chapatis came in a plastic carrier bag which they shouldn't do as it makes it steamy. Absolute waste of money. Big disappointment as we were starving and looking forward to it, dont buy...

Ordered from here over the years and has usually been ok. Today the chips were ditry grey in colour with so much grease it was all over the bag, food all greasy, rock hard naan, soggy popadoms, didn't taste fresh at all. Rang to complain and was given an appology for having corriander in the food I requested wasnt, they said the chips were a new fresh supplier. I wouldnt give them to stray dogs.
