Absolutely Abysmal Experience – Avoid at All Costs
If you're looking to waste over an hour of your life and leave hungry and furious, Paratha Stop is the place for you. From the moment we stepped in, it was a downhill spiral of incompetence, indifference, and utter disrespect for customers' time.
We were told, quite confidently, that our order would be ready in 20 minutes. Fair enough. But over an hour later, we still had no food. There was no communication, no apology—just blank stares and vague shrugs whenever we asked for an update.
When we finally had enough and asked for a refund, we were met with shocking rudeness from the manager. With zero remorse, he flatly stated: “I’m declining to give you a refund,” taking no responsibility whatsoever for the delay or their failure to deliver. No food. No accountability. Just arrogance and hostility.
We walked out empty-handed, hangry, and completely appalled. This wasn’t just bad service—it was a complete breakdown of basic customer care.
There’s “slow service,” and then there’s this – an outright disaster. Save your money, your time, and your sanity. Paratha Stop? More like Paratha Flop.

My honest advice, if it's too much rush and you busy, instead of just telling everyone 20-25 minutes tell them it might take more than an hour. Order placed over the phone last Sunday, spent almost £50 for birthday, they said it will take 20 minutes, Order placed at 12:51-01:50. I have to phone 5 times to remind them I have placed once an order. I have asked the guy if you have bag for tea, by the time I reach home, it was all mess everywhere. Either you stop using oil or if oil is thing you use everywhere then for your FYI, you can't pack full of oil stuff in paper bags.
Ruined the whole food, oil everywhere, was nearly going to throw all in the bin.
For Owner, as I am not happy, all these people complaining about takeout and miscommunication about order timings also not happy, copy pasted your reviews.
Heard good things about this place so did a trek across Manchester. Placed my order and the lady behind the counter asked if I'd like it bought to my car (I ordered takeaway), I thought this was a really nice touch. However after a 50 minute wait I still did not have my food and had to go back in and ask where it was! It took a further 10 minutes for my food to be handed over. I also noticed that people who were originally further back in the line than me were finishing up their meals! So maybe they prioritise eat in diners? The food was alright, however not worthy of an hour's wait. I don't think I'll be returning.
Worst service. Ordered food an hour ago, still waiting, just got contradictory information from the people on the counter. A lady told my wife we had to wait another one and a half hour, when I spoke to a man on the counter, he said it should not take long. Still waiting.
Absolutely disgusting service. Ordered at 9.30. At 11....still waiting. Rang only to be told you tell me what you want us to do. We're just too busy! I hope that you quickly learn the art of customer service.
I had exactly the same experience as #1 above, where they asked me go in the car and we will serve you, I have to litterly call multiple times as the other reviewers mentioned.
Instead of saying everyone you all not happy, fix your takeout and communicate clear takeout order timings.

Read moreNot surprised by the number of 1 star reviews concerning orders from Deliveroo or the replies following them by their management - because that’s their customer service or therefore lack of.
Ordered from Deliveroo at 12:22 Said it was confirmed by the restaurant and would be delivered by 13:15 Not delivered. Called Paratha Stop at 13:27 Only to be then told that they never confirmed the order. Called Deliveroo Customer service - they called the restaurant and said they were having problems confirming order, therefore Deliveroo would cancel my order and refund me. Order cancelled
An hour later, they showed up unwarranted at my front door with the order after I had already eaten.
Asked by the driver to pay them by cash. Called Deliveroo Said to keep it as a gift, told them that the driver was not a Deliveroo driver but the shop’s own driver. Customer service spoke to driver. Driver calls Usman (owner/manager? But Rude ✔️) trying to make us pay. I explained the situation sternly because why should I pay for your inconvenience and lack of communication and professionalism, when you have wasted my time and money? Was told they had trouble confirming the order number, told them about Deliveroo customer service but told by Usman that they won’t be reimbursed oh and if I’ve already eaten then I should give the food back. Gave the food back because I no longer want it after no apology but rather arguments. Driver didn’t leave until 10 minutes later.
A family member called and Usman said they did confirm the order, so then why did it take two hours to show? They lied and it’s disappointing.
