Claude's Café at Heaton Fold — Restaurant in Bolton

Apalling service!!! I'm typing this whilst sat in their car park.

This cafe is around the corner from the cemetery and crematorium, so i suspect, like myself on the day of my visit, they will get customers popping in after visiting loved ones who have passed away. People who just want a quiet coffee before they get back on with their day.

I ordered a flat white but was asked to have my drink at one of the outdoor tables as I was not dining. Apparently tables inside the cafe are for those ordering food. I should add there were 2 tables free, another table about to become free, and nobody in the queue behind me.

I quickly cancelled my coffee. I'd rather spend my money at another establishment that treats me as it does any other customer rather than suffer appalling hospitality at Claude's cafe, where seemingly they run an almost apartheid customer service policy.

Visited 11/05/2023. What a great find, as you enter Heaton Fold garden centre the cafe is located on the left. There is both outside and inside seating. The staff are very welcoming and friendly throughout the visit. Behind the counter on the wall is a board with the specials, we were also guided to the standard menu choices also via a menu on the adjacent table. I chose the battered fish n chips that came with a nice portion of mushy peas and a small amount of tartar sauce. Condiment (vinegar) was brought with the meal. The menu is quite pricey but definitely worth the price. Every time I go I get the ham and cheese toastie which is to die for. It is lovely to go for a walk and have a conveniently placed cafe which serves amazing food. Would recommend to...
