booked a table here as the menu and interior looked really lovely. My husband and i went on 12th November was shown to our table by a member of staff who then just left us he didn't offer to tell us what was on the special board or even ask if we wanted a drink whilst we were choosing our food. We had to ask a waitress if we could order drinks. The waiter came to take our orders and my husband ordered steak but it didn't state if this came with chips etc, so he asked the waiter just said i dunno?? the starters came and they were lovely but after this it all went downhill. We waited quite ages for our main course and when it finally did arrive my plate was cold and so was the food. I ordered chicken stuffed with ham and cheese but what was brought out was a piece of chicken cut into quarters and the ham place on the side of the plate and no asparagus or panchetta which it was supposed to have on, also didn't get any side dishes that were supposed to arrive. I complained to the waiter and said my food was cold and we have no vegatables or chips. He actually said what do you want me to do? you can leave the food if you like? I have never been spoken to in a restaurant before in this manner. He was very rude. I told him i'd like to eat it but could it be warm. he just took my plate then returned 5 mins later (obviously when the microwave had warmed it up) the side orders still hadn't arrived but then they brought them out 15 minutes later and just dumped them on the table. we asked for the bill and the waiter smiled and said i've knocked of the drink you had as if that was going to make up for a shocking night. His excuse was they were very busy. Maybe so but the whole meal that you had ordered should be presented all together not you side dishes after you have almost ate the main. I would suggest that you take a minute to digest your diabolic & clearly emotional driven response to this reveiw. If you chose to go down the route of listening to your customers & building a positive reaction to their very clear views on the poor service they received then maybe you would be looking at this situation from a professional level. I know said people extremely well & we have visited your establishment on numerous occasions to which we have left EXTREMELY POSITIVE reveiws. If you cared to ask the questions to the people that contribute to your small business keeping afloat then you would be in a position to deal with this situation effectively. In fact said customers were very excited to visit your establishment with very dear friends of theirs that live out of the area given the very positive past visits. I was present when the booking took place & said customer clearly stated there was mobility issues. Now we can continue down your very unprofessional & emotional response to this business reveiw, however, i would politely ask you to reflect on your response & realise on this occasion that your staff clearly have taken on board your viewpoint on dealing with difficult situations within your establishment & dealt with them according to your clear poor values. Said customers do nothing BUT support small businesses within their own area & also a much wider field its just a shame it wasn't reciprocated from your establishment. The restaurant is beautifully decorated to a high standard and really makes you feel you are dining somewhere elegant and the staff members were really friendly and helpful. The only reason I have given it 4 stars instead of 5 is there were just a few teething problems which can easily be ironed out, first, when we ordered our drinks they came 5 minutes after each other (I feel both drinks should come to the table at the same time) the starters were perfect and good portion size but the mains were warm, not hot which was a shame and we did see other tables sending their mains back too due to them being cold. The layout for the toilets are not great having the ladies on the bottom floor and man's on the top, plus the lights in the men's were not working so was pitch black, also the toilets could be better signposted. But as I stated these can be easily fixed and I understand this was opening week and everyone is finding their feet. I would really recommend anyone to go dine here as the food is lovely.
