Me and my friend went for a late tea. It was about 8:30 when we got there. When we arrived, we were greeted by the Manager Hannah who was lovely and then then the drinks order was completed by Jacob whose manner behind the bar, I could not fault. The restaurant was fairly empty but the bar area busy due to United playing. We wanted to watch the match and although they had cleaned all the booths with the TV's in, Hannah was more than happy to accommodate and switched the TV back on in the booth and set us up the enjoy our tea while watching the game.
Our food was brought by James, so polite and courteous and if we needed anything more, he was happy to assist. We asked him a couple of questions about ordering desert because thus would be after the cut off time for serving food and he was lovely when advising that because we have eaten, we could still order after 9pm.
We finished out food and went to the bar to order desert and was served by Ash, I could decide what I wanted so asked his opinion and Hannah's, the chocolate was a no brainer after finding out this would be their choice also. Ash was very bubbly and polite.
All in all, the customer service from Hannah, Ash, Jacob and James was second to none. We all know hospitality can take its toll, especially when you are coming to the end of your shift, but these 4 were a pleasure you interact with and even if any part of their shift that day had been particularly hard, you could not tell at all. I've had good and bad experiences at the Red Lion previously, but this visit was the best one yet :)
Keep up the good work guys, you did amazing, and you are definitely in the right job. Helen and Carla (The fussy ones who wanted the sound on the TV haha) See...
Read moreShocking! They usually give a list of food they haven't got before You order and even then when you go to the till to order there is more things they haven't got! Also if they haven't got it they just hope you won't notice! We had 2 Sunday dinners wanted the vegetarian option for one but again had none, both were served freezing cold , hit + miss as to what veg was on them, both were different. Beef looked nice big thick piece but felt like rubber, so cold even the butter didn't melt on the sweetcorn. Nachos served without guacamole when questioned they decided they had none! All day breakfast again freezing , sausages were a very strange colour, mushrooms raw etc etc. Asked for manager who said he needed to serve ice creams first! Curry's were also rubbish. With extras missing, had better £2 microwave meals. Eventually came said eat for now then I'll sort it. Had to wait nearly an hour for him to deal with it. Then he was asking me what me what he should do! Also told only 5 flavours of ice cream but when manager looked there was 11 so not sure what was happening there!! Such a shame used to be lovely food With amazing pizzas but now all microwave rubbish served cold. Shame for the staff that get all the stick off disgruntled customers! Some lovely staff Especially the girl from the wacky warehouse who tried to help more than...
Read moreWackey warehouse side , review is on mainly , Staff pleasant , clear tables well, the prices are reasonable, the play frame is medium - small considering to some places , main reason for .3 stars tho is lack of food choice on a weekend, as you have to go next door into the pub , don’t allow meals in the play area, yet they allow alcohol , lol , so if you like snacks crisp , chocolate , cake n brews ya fine , big flaw compared to other places , as it’s of such ease for some family’s kids don’t want to play , then go wait ex amount of time for meal next door especially if nobody to watch out for ya - table ect , idea is to play while meal cooking in a child’s mind , I’m sure if you thought it through weekends would be a bigger turnover for ya , as some will sneak food in because of this or go else where , or macdonalds on way home ect, impression was through the week ya can have food but not @ weekends , when most kids are off school and wish to let of steam so hence should really have food not just unhealthy snack , as very limited for healthy snacks , all in all kids enjoyed them selves 5&7yrs my brew was of good quality, shame about the food scenario, finally when visited both toilets boys n girls was out of action only available was baby change room , which wasn’t of a nice smell inside toilet seat clearly broken...
