Been twice recently. Both times the ladies who served us were pleasant, polite and helpful. The pub was clean and tidy, but didn't use the toilets so can't comment on them. There is a large beer garden at the back with plenty of picnic benches, you can eat outside if you wish. There is also a small car park, with a couple of disabled spaces, which was full the first time we went. Food is very reasonably priced and is very good. Only slight criticism, on 1st visit, it wasn't very hot. Main reason for loss of stars, both times we went for food and both times more than 1 item we wanted to order wasn't available. The entrance is wheelchair friendly, but the beer garden is on loose stones, so you would probably struggle in there. Pub is dog friendly

Nice decor, good range of gins and beer including craft beers. Some good and some poor food ie. Excellent fish and chips but terrible vegan fish and chips 🤮 I don't recommend the vegan fish, tasteless and stringy with watery mushy peas. Pity as they've tried to introduce vegan and vegetarian options, but they need to re- assess and try some different options. We've just called again and I've downgraded it a star as thd fish and chips has gone downhill, the fish was chewy and far too much batter surrounding a small fish, chips were also chewy, definitely not crunchy, felt that they'd been sat too long after cooking. We won't be back in a hurry

Ate here for the first time tonight. We had been to see our daughter and her partner's new home, and ate here because I'd heard good reports about the vegan options. Stupidly, hadn't thought to book and the restaurant was really busy, but good lively atmosphere. We were looked after incredibly well by JP who kept us updated in his search for a table for us, kept us topped up with drinks whilst we waited, and gave us food updates, as the kitchen was busy. We all enjoyed our food and I would thoroughly recommend the big choice of vegan options available!

We paid £170 weeks ago to secure an Xmas day booking. Upon arrival we were escorted to bar stools and expected to eat a Christmas dinner with 2 young children that were too small to even sit on the bar stools. When I explained that wasn't a possibility and could we please move to a family table, the manageress rudely said "well... everybody else has also booked tables", even though we were one of the first to show up and there was an abundance of tables free. When I insisted it was dangerous and impossible for my 3 year old to sit on this bar stool we were begrudgingly moved.

We then waited 1 hour for our starters to come out, cold soup. It was at this moment we knew something wasn't quite right. The staff all seem flustered and close to tears.

We then waited a further hour (2 hours after arrival) and our mains had not shown up yet. We had to ask what the hold up was as our children were crying that they were so hungry. We noticed the poor young waiting staff holding back tears and having dish after dish being sent back to the kitchen. We waited a little while longer and at 5.30pm (when we had a 3pm booking) Enough was enough.. I asked the manageress to come over. It took 3 members of staff to be asked for her to finally bother to show her face.. We demanded a full refund as it had gotten to the point where we were so hungry and deflated, that we were going to cut our losses and go home and have to start making food ourselves. . We received a cash refund... however we were short changed. I got back home and realised (foolishly not counting at the time as I was too busy telling her what a shambles this whole operation was.)

I then had to drive back to Bromley Cross at 6pm to get the money we had been short changed on the refund. I had to wait in a queue of people to speak to the manageress as they're was a line of people dissatisfied and complaining.

I finally got the outstanding money and barely so much as an apology. I had to tell this lady that she was responsible for this mess as she needed to take ownership for ruining so many peoples Xmas day. .

On a further note the manageress was physically pushing and dragging the young waitresses around the restaraunt.. trying to hurry them up. I thought it was utterly disgraceful. The way she treated her staff and her demeanour with the customers was nothing short of appalling. She needs to hand her notice in as she is incapable of having a managerial role.

Utter disaster and huge...

Visited this pub last t weekend with friends and had booked the Christmas menu. We were really looking forward to start the celebrations but on entering the pub the noise level was off the wall. Children running around, groups of men and women shouting at the top of their voices. We are most definately not miserable people but like to enjoy a meal in a cozy atmosphere which this was not. The noise increased over the next hour, every time a bar person emptied a bottle they would throw it in the bin and the crash resonated around the bar area. The meal was just ok, Celeriac and truffle soup, luke warm and couldn’t taste the truffle. Beef bouginin tasted like beef stew no rich taste of wine. During our meal a large group of women on the next table were having a great night but oh my the noise, I literally could not hear my partner who was sat inches from me. Complained to the manager that our night had been completely ruined but he didn’t want to know. He said he had asked the women to be quiet three times but they ignored him so it wasn’t his fault. He refused to offer any compensation not even offered a glass of wine despite spending Ā£159 in two hours. We left as soon as we finished the meal. Just awful customer service and we...

It’s nice and the food is nice BUT….. where do I start, came here and already knew what I wanted as I had stalked the menu 2 days prior. Asked for an orange as a drink was told ā€œit’s Thursday we’ve not had a delivery and no orangeā€ ok sound. But this one thing turned out to be a repetitive series of events. Got the menu and was told no cheese pie, no ciabatta breads and something else wasnt available. Both ordered honey glazed ham and chips. 15 minutes later was told no egg to go with it (it’s Ā£1 for a box of them round corner). I said oh it’s fine there’s pineapple isn’t there still, WELL not today Satan. No pineapple either. Ended up ordering something I didn’t even want and should have gone retreat. Going to cry myself to sleep tonight dreaming about the honey glazed ham I never had. If this is a normal Thursday fiasco then my tip of the day would be: Don’t sell food on Thursdays? Crying as I write this and my Nan was also crying all the way home too. She prob still is now to be fair. Weep weep. I dunno what I did in a past life to deserve such bad luck but I’m thinking maybe I was a murderer possibly. Would go again but will ring prior to ask what is and isn’t available. Especially if...
