Just called again and very disappointed with the food and service. They've changed the menu and unfortunately there's no spicy Singapore Noodles anymore, now its called Bang Bang Noodles, which apparently is a Korean dish. Unfortunately it wasn't as nice, not as sweet as Singapore Noodles 😕 also the extras are; chicken, pork or prawn, no halloumi which they used to advertise with the Singapore dish, however, I asked and they added halloumi for me, so why not advertise it? I was also disappointed with the desserts, I ordered a chocolate orange sunde but unfortunately it was just ice cream with a bit of brownie and some chocolate sauce, no cream! Finally the coffee was lukewarm, when I told them they changed it, but it was exactly the same, the waitress said that it was the machine, another words they were all lukewarm. I asked for it to be warmed up in the microwave but they left it in too long and it was virtually boiling, far too hot to drink and when eventually I could, it tasted burnt. I suppose they thought they'd teach me a lesson for complaining 😤 Finally we were served 2 out of 4 dishes then sat waiting about 5 minutes before they served the second 2 and only after asking where they were. In case youre wondering, it wasn't busy. It's definitely gone downhill. The tall ginger haired guy was nonchalant with my requests but the blonde waitress was patient and pleasant.

Firstly I would like to say how friendly and polite the staff are, thank you to Ellie for looking after us. The food was excellent, the beef was cooked to perfection, as per our request. We had a starter, a main, and desert for £26 each. For starters we had a mix of the starters, Mac and cheese croquettes, salt and pepper chicken chunks and prawns with Marie sauce. The mains were all roast beef and they were cooked to our preferences, this came with cauliflower cheese, potato with cream, roast potatoes, roasted and glazed carrots and cabbage. The deserts were good, but only myself had a desert, it was apple crumble pie withe caramel and custard. This was very tasty and was a good size for a finish. Overall the food was excellent and I would recommend here. Next time I will try something from the main menu. Today we had the Sunday lunch menu.

Recently moved to the Area and many friends said to try The Thomas Egerton for food We was certainly not disappointed Myself and my Partner had the Steak burger with home cut chips. And it was incredible. The perfect portion and delicious. We finished our meal with the cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding which I highly recommend There's a huge selection of drinks at the the bar and the staff were very friendly and polite and helpful We will be definitely popping in again soon

With the Wilton on a downside we decided to try the Thomas Edgerton, the place had a lovely rural pub sort of feel to it despite being conveniently close to home in Bolton. We had a few drinks, my partner had a gin and myself a few beers which were reasonably priced. We skipped the starters as we didn't have loads of time but I decided to get the nacho loaded with beef, this is a MUST they were incredible. For mains we had pie and the diet starts tomorrow burger and oh my goodness, it was Delicious. The pie steak just fell to bits and melted in your mouth, it was well presented and tasted like something out of this world. It was like a fresh farm pie. The chicken was crispy on the burger and loaded with crispy onions, bbq sauce and cheese. It was spot on, finished with a creamy side of coleslaw and some well cooked fries. With that perfect crisp. Can't wait to go again and try something else! Good job guys. It wasn't that busy but it was 4.30 on a Tuesday so we didn't expect it to be, even though the service was on point because it was very quiet I have a strong feeling that even when busy they work just as hard. Thanks for everything, we...

I am not from the area so I googled dog friendly pub/ restaurant near me . This place came up and it couldn’t be further from the truth . I walked in and was told no dogs allowed in the pub , but if I walk around the back through the garden there is the Dog Inn. I asked if I could get a drink there and was told yes . I headed round the back where there was this scruffy ‘shed’ with a bar in . I went to the bar where there was a young man who paid no attention . I asked if I could get a drink . He pointed to a sign saying closed until 5pm . This was around 4:15. I asked how can I get a drink ? In the bar he said . But I’m not allowed in the bar with my dog . At this he just stared at me blankly . How am I supposed to get a drink ? He just shrugged and carried on doing what ever it was he was doing . Unbelievable!! So NOT dog friendly at all !! Trust to say I will not be...
