Tried the Beijing Restaurant for the first time today following a visit to nearby RHS Wisley Gardens.
First impressions were good. Restaurant was clean and tidy, people seemed to be enjoying themselves and the food looked tasty!
We looked at the comprehensive a-la-carte menu but, in view of the excellent all-you-can-eat cooked-fresh-to-order Sunday buffet option available at £23.50 per head, we decided to go for that instead. Good choice!
We opted for 'special' pancake rolls, sesame prawn toast and smoked shredded chicken to start.
Unfortunately, the pancake rolls were not to our taste, but the prawn toasts were plump, juicy and tasty. But the smoked chicken was INCREDIBLE!! Honestly, we've been searching for YEARS to get this taste again.
Believe me when I say that for this dish ALONE we would come back AGAIN and AGAIN!
We were offered another portion and COULDN'T RESIST! Every bit as good...
Next came perfect crispy duck. Truly amongst the best ever.
Next came sizling lamb, ginger and spring onions. This took Trudi back YEARS to the last time it tasted THIS good!
Special fried rice was fresh and delicious without any horrible wetness or stickiness. PERFECT!
Beef in San Char Sauce was a random choice because I have never had it before.
The beef was perfectly tender and tasty but, with so many other great options available, personally I wouldn't want it again.
With that, we were completely full and blissfully happy 😊
Just one comment: Disappointing that this restaurant doesn't offer any cider. Maybe something to consider?

Came to this restaurant after driving past it many times and decided to see the reviews being rated 4/5 it must be good so gave it a go. Ordered Spring rolls and grilled meat dumplings for starters which came out cold, ths dumplings tasted frozen and left a bitter taste in my mouth, they also had a horrible selection of sauces, i had one and left the remaining , after this we hoped the mains would be better, we ordered chicken in blackbean sauce with two portions of chicken chowmein noodles, the noodles were absolutely bland they did not even look appetising having a dark burnt look to them. The chicken in blackbean sauce, firstly the portion was absolutely tiny not expected for the price so had to order another (bare in my mind this was for two people), the chicken was chewy and tasted raw and hardly had any blackbean sauce half of this food was left wasted by myself and my girlfriend. After this experience i spoke to a member of the staff and said the food was not good and meat tasted chewy and raw he said il get another member of staff to assist you, they ignored everything we said and just gave the bill. I have been to this restaurant a few times over the last 18 months or so and pleased on the whole with the quality and service. So what a disappointment when on my recent visit the dining experience left much to be desired. The service was much the same BUT THE QUALITY OF FOOD and I am talking about my meal was unrecognisable as far as the MEAT CONTENT and Poor Quality was concerned. I asked my partner to try some and give her comments on what it was supposed to be. QUESTION IS IT PORK BEEF OR LAMB she spat it out not recognising the taste or texture. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LAMB.
