Wimpy — Restaurant in Borough of Runnymede

Absolutely shocking service from the restaurant. The ‘main man’ thinks he’s the main man and is the most rudest man I have ever ever dealt with. I witnessed the way he spoke to delivery drivers and I was disgusted - he spoke to them in such a way that was so demeaning that it left me feeling emtional. Not to mention the way he speaks to his staff. Why does he think he runs the world or something trying to teach people how to do their jobs? I ordered a meal to take away asked for no sauce or salad. I care for an elderly man who hasn’t got long to live and he just wants to eat fast food with no sauce or salad. Initially when ordering, the man laughed and said what’s the point ordering a burger with nothin in it? He states it makes it actually more difficult for whoever is making the food. I ended up having it as a meal with chips and a drink. I was handed the food after a 16 minute wait (I timed it on my phone) and just as I stepped out, I opened the bag to check the food. The chips were stone cold and I went back in and tried to explain this to him however, he was not interested and said you’ve been outside obviously they will Be cold now. With some back and fourth arguing (yes he argued with me), he finally gave in and provided a new batch. When I got home to the elderly man I care for, we found that not only did the burger have saude and salad, but it wasn’t cooked properly! It was still Raw, cold and red. I tried to call but there was no answer and then I had to go down there to physically show the restaurant. Instead of apologising, I was accused of swapping the burger for one i had at home. The man said there was no way I bought this burger from them. He even shouted at me and told me to leave. I was left embarrassed and humiliated in front of other customers and I just ended up running out of there. I would not recommend this place to anyone in a million years and would hope he is either shut down or given training on how to...

Hi everybody, I came over to Wimpy’s this past Sunday, overall, the food was all good, the burger looked like something out of an advert it looks perfect with a good and reasonable amount of everything inside their burgers. The chip’s were nice and warm and better than anything I ever ate before. Anyways, whilst we were having dinner with our family, a group of around 30 people or so from what I could count came in and asked for a table to sit at. I was watching the waiter and he was being calm at all times which is actually hard to do in atmosphere’s like this. Anyways, they start shouting about them wanting to do a party and that they would bombarde the restaurant with bad reviews if they didn’t get what they asked for. Despite the boss saying no, the waiter told the boss he would deal with it and the boss agreed. They all take a seat and the children start climbing up the chairs and booths making a mess. I tell the waiter to go back there and tell them to lower as they ruined our mental experience as a whole. The waiter goes there to warn them that the other customers are getting disturbed and asks them politely to lower their voices. They don’t respond and the waiter just ignores them as they don’t seem to care. Food was all over the ground when I left, I wish those cleaning it good luck.. I could say that the Toilets were spotless, it was completely clean and so were all the toilets. Staff were really friendly in general and really hospitable. First time ever having a Wimpy and I must say it was amazing. As soon as I walked in I could see it was very clean, no food on the floor like you'd see in other fast food joints. I honestly thought it would be like McDonald's but it's the opposite. It is so much better than I thought it would be and it's more of a restaurant, serving the meal on a plate which I didn't expect but it's one of the things I really liked about it.

The waiter that served us was very friendly, excellent service. We ordered the smoky bbq burger and it was sooo nice, I could tell it was proper beef and the bun was nicely toasted too. I also had a chocolate milkshake and it was delicious, very thick as it should be. I was so full I couldn't even finish mine. No room for dessert unfortunately.

There is only one separate male & female toilet and a disabled toilet but they were very clean. We did visit late in the evening so it wasn't very busy.

It is a bit pricey if you're used to the other fast food joints but what I ordered was cheaper than five guys and it's what you'd pay if you went to a pub so not too bad really and I thought it was worth it.

It's a shame there aren't many around as I visited before heading to Thorpe Park cabins and where I live my nearest one is about 40mins away. I would definitely recommend coming here and I'll definitely go back, hopefully my nearest one is as good as this one and maybe next time I'll have room for...
