Stainash Cafe and Kebab — Restaurant in Borough of Spelthorne

I ordered a smoked salmon baguette from here and paid £5.50 for it, only for it to arrive with very little salmon and full to the brim with salad! I complained via just eat (I had to say it was missing as there was no option to say something else is wrong) they called me to discuss my complaint but the man couldn’t hear me so he hung up. I called the restaurant and explained that if I pay £5.50 for a salmon baguette I expect to receive much more salmon than I did, all the guy had to say was “sorry about that, next time you order leave a note and I’ll add extra salmon for you” I asked for a refund instead but he refused. Lovely friendly place!

The staff were very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. We were passing through on our way back up north after visiting Hampton Court flower show, we had our elderly dog with us and were very kind allowing us to eat while the dog lay in the shaded alleyway where we could keep an eye on her while we ate. We were all in need of food while the dog needed shade as it was nearing 30 degrees outside with full blazing sun.

After my original review of "Kebabs were nice but massively under portioned. Poor value for money" I received a response asking to try again as I would "see the difference". Unfortunately despite paying over £17 for a large chicken shish, XL donner kebab, chips and a Coke we experienced the same problems. Extra large donner kebab was under portioned and was covered up with mountains of salad, I'd hate to see a small portion. Unfortunately the chicken shish looked great but was undercooked and not eaten. Two poor experiences are enough for me, we'll stick with the Charcoal...
