Old Red Lion — Restaurant in Borough of Spelthorne

Visited this pub at the end of last week as I was staying with friends nearby. Arrived just after 6pm and there were lots of people already there, both outside and inside. Very friendly and a good choice of beers, in fact the London Pride was exceptional! Nice garden area to sit in too on a warm summers evening. Stayed with friends again recently so came back for drinks and dinner. I chose chilli con carne with rice and salad and my friend chose chicken casserole with roast potatoes which was on their specials board. Sat outside on the decked area as it was a warm evening. I really like this place. I go on Sundays for the Sunday roast and it's delicious. Really good prices... Very reasonable but the quality is excellent and the quantity is significant. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, I ask for certain extras which he does without a fuss or charging extra. All in all, a lovely experience. Quality food, good accommodating customer service, big portions and good prices. Oh and their sticky toffee pudding is delicious. Seriously.

Lovely traditional pub that serves fabulous food. Can get busy especially when the weather is good as they have a small, compact garden that is well looked after. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the prices are on par with most pubs. The only downside is the parking. Only space for 3 vehicles on front, no rear, so everything else is roadside which has frequent residential use and with some hedging and vehicles restricting drivers view theres an accident waiting to happen.
