Boyce's Bakery — Restaurant in Borough of Swale

I'm not sure if it's a takeover or what, but the place has recently changed big time. Went to get my usual order to take home and use/freeze. Queue was out door and round corner. The staff were tripping over each other almost comicly . Got to my turn and felt sorry for the young server as they gently lowered a fresh cream item into the box when a colleague went past and knocked into them. Their hand went straight through said cake, and I did literally lol as was like a comic gag.

It's not an issue for me, but a lot of people in one small place. Used to be better and quicker service. Please note that I can't blame any of the people on the ground as they now have a tight space to work in, unlike before.

Food still good apart from. I wish they only cut loaves when people want it. 2 poppy sees loafs cut I want uncut and non available.

This bakery is a fantastic spot for fresh bread, delicious pastries, and great coffee. They offer a wide selection of baked goods, from crusty bread to sweet treats, perfect for breakfast or a snack. The opening hours are convenient—7 AM on weekdays and even earlier at 6:30 AM on Sundays- making it ideal for early risers.

A nice bonus is the outdoor seating area, where you can enjoy your coffee and pastry in the fresh air. The staff is friendly and professional, adding to the pleasant experience. The only downside is the early closing time (4 PM) which might not suit everyone.

However, what really stood out (and not in a good way) was a shocking poster on the door- it was quite off-putting, especially for families with children.

Despite this, the bakery remains a solid choice thanks to its quality products, coffee, and outdoor seating. 4/5 stars- just consider removing...

Amazing selection of food in there for a small town bakery . Hot pies , decent coffee, and nice rolls . Friendly village atmosphere in there . The cake selection is 10/10 . If you saw those cakes in Paris or posh London you wouldn't be surprised. To see them in a good ole ' kiss me quick ' seaside town is pleasantly surprising .
