Had my second visit to Love Fish, and honestly, it’s the best chip shop food I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot over the years!). The chips are hands down the best chip shop chips I’ve ever tasted – perfectly cooked, and so moreish that me and my partner rave about them every time. The service can be a little slow at first, but once you place your order the food comes out quickly and fresh, and it’s worth the short wait. The battered sausage is proper crispy – exactly how it should be – and everything we’ve tried has been cooked perfectly. Another great touch is the bar inside where you can order your own drinks – every time we’ve been, the drinks have been spot on. The lady with blonde hair behind the counter is always so lovely and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. To top it off, you can sit outside with beach views while enjoying your food – it’s such a nice atmosphere and makes it more than just your average chippy. I’m genuinely surprised by any bad reviews on here because both times I’ve been, it’s been fantastic. Love Fish is easily my favourite spot, and I can’t wait to come back again (mainly for those chips – they’re THAT good!).

Enjoyed sitting outside and having cocktails with a group. Seemed to be a lack of glasses and at £7-£9 it kind of spoilt the occassion. Looked more like I was drinking squash out of a tumbler at one point (albeit with paper umbrella added). The music was too loud for me.

Had the fish and chips. Tiny cod in soggy batter and not many chips. Definitely not worth £14.50. Weirdest of all they don’t have actually vinegar - on each table there is a fake vinegar which is sugary water with colourings and flavourings. Best to avoid this place.

Waited absolutely ages so had to get up and actually get someone to take our order, once our order was finally taken our drinks arrived 10 minutes later minus the diet coke for my wife! Once we told them of the mistake it took another 10 minutes to rectify their mistake.

Over 30 minutes later our food arrived! And low and behold my wife's food was missing!! After telling them again that the had missed this it took another 15 minutes for her food to arrive!

My food was actually horrible! The calamaris were clearly straight from the freezer to the fryer and the side salad was dreary! Also nowhere near the amount of chips you would expect with an adult meal!! They come in a pathetic metal basket!

It's a shame because when they first opened up, the food was actually ok!

Another case of owners cutting corners in quality and service!!

I will never eat there again, I will go to Woody's which is a short walk from here but much , much...

We came here not long after it opened and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, a year later I wouldn’t want to return. The food was average, the fish was over cooked and dry. The clientele ruined what was a nice place.Love fish is supposed to be a take away and a restaurant but has turned into more of a pub atmosphere due to the bar. I’m not sure if they were locals or not but the atmosphere was awful. Drunk and loud, we were on edge all the time waiting for a fight to break out. The music was so loud you couldn’t hear each other speak and this was accompanied by the drunks singing at the top of their voices. In the time we were there about 12 customers came in, saw what was happening and walked out, I only wish we had done the same. If they keep the clientele I think they will lose a lot of money over the...
