The Fish & Chip Plaice — Restaurant in Borough of Wyre

If there was the option to put half a star I would use it. Last time I made a visit here around 2 years ago. I complained on the reviews about my finding of a bacterial growth on my battered fish and woodlice under the chips leaving me ashamed of the work standard and my son throwing up in the bin outside... as a result I was harassed directly by one of the workers here who didn't like my transparency within the review that I made and was initially censored right afterwards. I came back recently to give the food another try and I found that the doors were shut upon my arrival and saw some of the staff laughing in my direction. I am astounded that just because I have a child who's disabled with alopecia and having come from a Jewish household - does not mean that we cant receive basic...

horrible food. came with my daughter to grab a bite to eat and was disgusted at the appalling food quality. chips were ok, fish was uncooked. had to take my daughter to the hospital the following day where they discovered norovirus in her blood stream, which I would suspect was possibly a result of prepping the food on an unsanitary workspace with dirty hands. not even gonna bother raising it with the business owner(s) as they flat out denied all of the complaints a friend of mine once made regarding the poor food quality.

have also been verbally harassed by chavs on many occasions outside of the shop, which i guess is what happens when u choose to situate ur business next to a council estate. won’t be returning again...

We all really enjoyed our fish, chips and peas. I had curry sauce as well which was unique, and very flavourful (not the average gloop I’m used to!). Battered fish was fluffy, crispy and delicious. Chips cooked very nicely! All really fairly priced, and fish and chips combo even more better value! Good selection of canned drinks as well. Staff are really friendly, highly recommended!
