Chickano's Bradford — Restaurant in Bradford

My review has now dropped by 2 stars since my last few visits. Firstly, they have removed the Bandito Hot items from the menu, was only informed on the phone of this as their website still lists it.

They have yet again taken on new staff, no gripes there, but if you do this you need to fully train them. The poor guy was packing everything one item at a time, counting everything he put in the bag, that's fair enough, but he got the order wrong. The order was 4 burger meals and one salad. He packed me four burger meals and one burger. No salt or wipes were packed and they have now stopped adding the garlic mayo type sauce they had before (now it's one small tub of sweet chilli per meal - the sized of those cardboard tubs in McDonald's) I called to advise of the packing error, as I hadn't checked until I got home they offered to kindly sort the issue on the next visit - now I Have to go back.

The gentleman that took the complaint call has worked there a while and works very well, just a shame he didn't serve me initially. But I shouldn't have to have certain staff members who I prefer to take and serve my order, they should all be of a competent level and it should not be the case that you have to check your order is correct when you collect it. I check the money I give you is accurate and legitimate, it's your job to make sure I get what I paid for.

Also the portion sizes have reduced, the fries have changed, they used to be crispy and buttery (only way I can describe it, I used to love these fries) but are now like almost every other take away's fries. I swear the sides are mostly frozen, mozzarella sticks, cheesy bites etc, they just don't taste like they're freshly made - I know they don't claim to be but they should be for the price of £1.99 per portion (usually three or four pieces of the item).

I'm coming for my rectification meal and then no longer will I return - not that it makes a difference to Chickano's... also please see my previous four star review below:

Food Review: Chicano's, Bradford

I visited Chicano's in Bradford with high expectations, drawn in by the buzz around its vibrant menu. However, I was left deeply disappointed by both the food quality and the price tag, which I found shockingly high for what was served.

To begin with, the food lacked the bold flavors and freshness you’d expect from a place as established as chicanos. The burger I ordered were soggy, with the filling underseasoned and bland. The chicken was dry and not at all fresh, which is a basic expectation when it comes to fast food. Even the much-touted Nashville range was a letdown,

What truly left me dumbfounded was the price. For the lackluster quality of food, I found the bill to be outrageously high. For just a few items and a drink, I was charged well above what I’d expect for a meal of this standard—certainly not reflective of either the portions or the flavor. In a town like Bradford, where you can find much better food at a fraction of the cost, Chicano's felt like an overpriced disappointment.

Very lax service. So I decide to drive otherside of bradford at rushhour, rang but was engaged all the way there, got there and had to drive around for parking etc missions to finally get there and order. Once placed my order was told10-15 min wait, I popped out in this time, moved my car, got a coffee from another store, returned and continued waiting eventually I saw my order was ready, told guy at till but he did not bag it up for me, made me wait more longer, the guy was laid back taking his time with everyones orders, getting orders wrong customers coming back to get missed items, he even packed up dine in customers food. Had to ask him numerous times to pass my food even offerred to bag it up myself, eventually he threw it in a bag, then he went all yahoodi on me and tried charge me extra for sauces and can of pop I am suprised they don't charge for carrier bag and salt. The sauces are literally a small drop to cover 1 chip in a tiny tub that will leak while carrying it, so your forced to buy additional sauce. Food wise its good quality, price wise your paying far more than rivals and servicewise they slack, had I not paid before order was given I would have walked out. Such a let down will never come back to this branch. Thsnk god...
