Daisy Bar kitchen Mediterranean restaurant — Restaurant in Bradford

Very disappointed with the service. Called more than a week before to book a birthday meal for my boyfriend and his family. Was told they only take cash and if I could come at 6.30 rather than 7 that I asked for and spoke to a woman. When we turned up for our booking, they had no reservation made at all. Not even for the wrong time or day - just not done. When speaking with the two men who were working there, they were very apologetic and seemed genuinely embarrassed about it. The woman who came forward said that she makes all the bookings and was trying to imply that it was somehow my fault as she ‘always writes everyone down’ - clearly not! It wasn’t until I actually showed her my call list and she saw that a call has been made and the duration of the call, she then said these mistakes happen and said we could go to another restaurant further down the road, that is their sister restaurant and get a table there. We all went as we had no choice at the last minute and the people and at Turkuaz Restaurant was brilliant! One of the staff from daisy bar actually turned up later and apologised again. He was very nice and handled things professionally. I do understands mistakes can happen, and the male staff were good about it, but the woman was quite rude. If she had just apologised from the start instead of acting like it was my fault it would have helped. Not even a offer of a discount or a complimentary shot considering the inconvenience for all 7 of us to travel elsewhere. Wow - what an experience. Went with two friends - first time for us. Ordered the food but then told 15 mins later that the stiffado was not right so could my husband order something else. He ordered the chicken souvlaki. Hubby had goats cheese to start and one friend ordered meatballs. Goats cheese was ok but meatballs were tough. Mains came. Friends had seabass and chicken quesadillas and I had the steak. Friend said quesadillas were not particularly nice. Steak was ok. However, they brought my hubby chicken quesadillas. Pointed out he had ordered souvlaki. So they took away and he then had a long wait until his food arrived. Finally arrived and he had his first piece of chicken. Said it tasted a bit weird. Cut into the next one before eating and discovered it was raw!!!!! Told the owner who apologised and took it away. Offered something else but hubby really didn’t want to chance it, so we shared my steak. Bill came £120 and has to be cash. They didn’t charge for their mistakes with hubby’s mains and gave him a free beer as consolation - really? Also packed up the quesadillas that he never ordered. All in all, terrible. As I write, my husband is starting with stomach cramps. I think this place needs someone that can cook. We won’t...

So I’ve been here 3 times, not by my choice. but every time I’ve been the atmosphere has been uncomfortable, I feel like I’m constantly being watched (coz you are) you’re asked very quickly what you want to order/drink without even having a chance to look at menus for long. Good really isn’t great. It’s very fast a rushed service. But the worst thing last time I went, I got a dessert instead of starter, I ate 2 bites of a cheesecake and it was inedible flavoured sponge 🤢 my cousins dessert (chocolate gato thing) was also horrible. They came to ask us at the end of everything was ok and we both said the desserts were inedible, their response was ‘aw sorry to hear that’ then walked away and came back with the bill, nothing discounted at all.
