China Village — Restaurant in Braintree

Placed a £79 order for delivery this evening, September 14th at 19:05. We were informed it would be with us at 20:05. At 20:05 I was informed it was en route by the useful Just Eat app. 30 minutes later our food had not arrived and we called the shop to find it, the staff initially lost our order and then did not know where the driver was or how long it would be, simply telling us they were busy. The staff told us they would call the driver and then call us back, they did not. 50 minutes after it should have been delivered we called again, the staff chose to ignore us on the phone and speak what we can only presume was Chinese amongst themselves on the phone, rather than answering our questions. Whilst on the phone the driver eventually showed up we informed her that the management had given us £30 off the order. The driver tried to tell us she had only had the food for 10 minutes and proceeded to tell us to choke on it 😂 10/10 for customer service, loving the cold food and will definitely not order from...

Ordered a take away for two, so not a huge order. Told it would be 100 minutes, wow. After 2 hours nothing, as it was my birthday meal we rang and they had taken too many orders but blamed deliveroo. Then we were told the food would be another 30 mins so it wasn't even ready for deliveroo and we had no idea if it would arrive by 9-9.30 from 6.30 so cancelled, cheeky blighters then said it would take at least 24 hours to get a refund. So not only do we get no foo. No apology or this rectified or even tried they steal our money too as we had to pay upfront!!!! NEVER EVER would we use these and tell all our friends, shocking treatment. Ordered food at 6.50pm from my friends house to pay cash on delivery. My friend ordered her food ten mins before me by card. Her meals turned up so guessed mine would follow shortly after. Nope! 8.45 my partner calls to see where our food is and we get told no food is coming they are very busy and can not put order through. So my friends have all eaten their meals and me my partner and kids are still sitting here hungry.
