Mo's Peri Peri - Witham — Restaurant in Braintree

Oh my goodness, my mouth literally just had the party of its life with this food! I've been wanting to try this for a while now and oh my goodness it did not disappoint! One of my daughters had the 1/4lb cheese burger and she said its the best EVER, and it actually looked like the photos! While I was waiting for our order, I saw some of the other burgers being put together and WOW! The tower burgers look amazing! I wasn't sure what the "plain" chicken would be like, as it says its marinated, so I had to order the chicken nuggets for my autistic daughter who likes it plain. While I was collecting though, I asked about it and they showed me the plain chicken and so I now know I could order a plain chicken burger or strips etc for her to enjoy! Between my husband and I we had a lemon and herb burrito, mango and lime 1/4 chicken, medium buffalo wings, Peri peri fries and spicy rice. Like I said - party in my mouth! It's all sooooooo juicy and tasty! The flavours are insane and all compliment each other. The two mild flavours were so good, with just an ever so slight tingle, and the medium was a really nice hit with the spice, not too hot. This is by far the most tasty, well cooked and presented takeaway I have had for a long time! My husband is a total snob with takeaways and very rarely says anything nice about them, but he REALLY enjoyed it too! Highly recommend this place! Oh, and the staff were super friendly too! Didn't get chance to take photos, but believe me, it looks just like the photos they advertise with!

Unfortunately I’m very displeased with the service tonight, food was 45 minutes late which is fine but there was no way of contacting them to find out when my order would be delivered, the number provided on the website I phoned multiple times with no answer, I then reached out via the live chat and was told that they couldn’t help as they were not at the premises. I then received the order and both burgers were undercooked in the middle so they went in the bin, tried to call the shop again to complain instead of leaving a review on here but again there was no answer. I very much doubt that I will be ordering in the future which is disappointing as my last few orders from here...

I have to say the food here was super tasty. The grill peri peri buffalo wings are a must have fresh, succulent and delicious and also the grill peri peri chicken burger also fresh and was delicious. The peri peri fries were also really flavoursome and completed the meal. Overall the food was fresh and full of flavour, one of the best peri peri I’ve had. The service and staff was great and packaging on point. We had a take away it was busy due to how popular and good the food is. This is truely a hidden gem and well worth a visit, we will be going again for sure. Job well done to Mo...
