Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in Braintree

I went here today with my two young kids, mum and sister. We ordered four breakfasts and waited patiently until an hour later where my kids were screaming. We asked how long the breakfast would be to which the lady said ‘your food is next’. I personally think they forgot, they said they needed to cook everything from fresh but 15 minutes later I went up again and asked to speak the manager and requested a refund. He refunded most of it (I forgot some of the items that we’d ordered) and then I saw them throw the food away. It’s a shame because I ended up paying £9 (said I drank the coffees so I’d pay for those) for two cappuccinos and fries that I never had. The manager didn’t say sorry or try to keep my custom. I would have preferred the staff to be honest from the start and let me know that the food wait would be X amount of time. I ended up going to Valero...

Very poor customer service. Member od staff watched us debate menu choices for sometime then when we got our drinks and placed our order she said they only have fish or scampi and nothing else. Was rude , spoke abruptly to my daughter and couldn't care less. Mugs were disgustingly dirty. Left without ordering as one of us was a vegetarian so had no options. Service was okay but food was absolutely awful. Bacon was off, it was grey and slimy I don't know how someone could even have served it. The yolk in my fried egg was completely solid, toast was burnt, the other order we had was eggs Benedict and the sauce was so thick and the state of the eggs were atrocious, hardly able to be called a poached egg. Ruined my appetite and it's unlikely I'll come back...
