Spice Fusion — Restaurant in Breckland District

We booked in for 22 people on Friday 10th May for a 60th birthday. First of all the restaurant is welcoming and spacious, we had a lovely room that accomodated us all comfortably and the staff even allowed us to decorate the room as we liked.

We arrived early to set up balloons, banners, presents and cake and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were eager to help and really set the tone for the evening.

Service was spot on, couldn't have asked for better to be honest. Staff were attentive and efficient, drinks and food arriving in record time despite being a large party.

Food was incredible, so tasty and served piping hot. Not a single missing item, despite our party ordering a large amount. Value for money was exceptional too.

The manager dealt with us personally and was nothing short of fantastic. Would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat and will definitely be back soon.

Of all the Indian places in Dereham I only ever go to spice fusion (for takeaway or eat in). The food is absolutely delicious, there’s a huge variety - among my personal favourites are the chicken tikka masala, lamb korma, and the passanda (I don’t handle spice well!). The saag paneer is delicious too! My partner and I always get a biryani for the rice which again, is always full of flavour and very tasty. We either get a chicken tikka biryani or a vegetable biryani, both of which come with a vegetable curry but are always full of flavour, the meat is always tender and mouth wateringly good. I can’t sing their praises enough, if it’s delivery it always arrives fast and hot, the food I’ve never had any problems with (or any problems at all, for that matter), and the service and staff are always kind and polite. Only the second takeaway delivery from here ,and what a disappointment tonight's dinner was. Delivered in 10 minutes, but a complete disaster arrived. Onion bahji, barely cooked and absolutely dripping with grease , literally ! The grease was everywhere , pouring out of it. The curry was hot , but inedible. Barely chewable lamb , onion raw. I gave up trying to eat this complete bag of grease , and the the tough lamb ,raw onion in sauce combination. A shame as l was looking forward to my meal , and having read the good reviews, my order was a complete shamble and had to be sent back. Chef was in a hurry, who knows ?
