Bombay Tandoori — Restaurant in Breckland District

We had prebooked our table of 7, so it's not like they weren't expecting us, yet even though we arrived at 7.30, they still had not prepared our table. We waited a further 15 mins until we were sat, then the staff (who were actually quite friendly) took part of our order, but were interrupted by a leak from the ceiling. The rest of our order did not go in for another 15 minutes (around 8.15). We then waited for an hour for our food to arrive. The whole time we were watching takeaway food be sent from the kitchen to other customers, while our own food did not appear for over an hour. The plates where given out before the meal, and we had to send them back as none of them were clean. When the food finally did arrive, it was very underwhelming, with a lot of it being very dry, and one member of our party returning theirs to the kitchen as it was inedible. Every person in the party had a complaint for their dish, and the majority didn't finish their meal being satisfied or completely finish at all. Overall, our experience at Bombay was very lacklustre, and not as good as the reviews portray.

Update: I've removed a star, because in the days since the meal, each member of the party who attended the meal has become ill with each person having the same symptoms that align with food poisoning and/or norovirus. I do not recommend...

Really quick delivery (after only 15 mins) BUT......... When the driver arrived my food was a total of £36.95. I gave the driver £40 and he said he didn't have change. He didn't even apologise for the lack of change. Had he of offered me my change I would of tipped him for being so quick. When I served the popadoms up they were soggy. The onion bhajis were way too greasy. The onion rice was far too greasy too. The balti I ordered had red peppers in which had no place to be there. The garlic and onions were raw and crunchy. If I could have given no stars then I would. I DEFINITELY would not recommend this place and certainly never use them again.

Had a lovely evening celebrating my husband and friends' birthdays. Place was full to bursting when we arrived but seated quickly. We had to ask for drinks about 30 minutes after we arrived, as the table next to us, who arrived 10 minutes later, were served first and no sign of a waiter coming over. We ordered drinks and poppadoms while deciding what to order. We again had to ask to order our main after another long wait and ordered further drinks. We had to keep asking where the drinks were, and 45 minutes later, we got them. Even though they seemed understaffed for the evening, the waiters were polite and friendly.
