Ordered 2 vegan frappes via mobile order as I have a cows milk allergy. Arrived and the lady made me 1 full dairy frappe. Imagine if that was waiting at the counter already and I didn’t see her make it. Asked her to remake my order correctly and she poured oat milk into the dairy mixer. I had to show her that she made it in the wrong mixer as it’s cross contamination, and use the yellow non dairy mixer. Next frappe was soy base, again cross contamination as she mixed it in the yellow non dairy one, and not the blue soy one. Put loads of frappe base but forgot to put any actual coffee in. I did feel for the lady as she was meant to have a colleague show up to support her, who didn’t turn up on time. It must have been very stressful on her own, but quite frankly this lack of training in reading order labels, allergies and cross contamination is worrying. You're paying a premium for the Starbucks name, which is why it's more expensive compared to say a Morrisons cafe. However, in terms of value and quality, this is a complete rip-off.
The process involved fresh beans, ground and tamped, with hot water added. It's astonishing that the coffee was still so bad. They must have a secret ingredient—disappointment.
Consider this: you're paying an 80% markup for hot, unpleasant water.
