This was a very odd place. We were given a gift voucher and had never heard of the hotel/restaurant before. We booked a table for lunch at 12.30 but our table was not ready until gone 1.30 and our 2 year old kept saying he was hungry. I had to ask several times if we could order and be seated sooner, and if they could bring out the children's meal as soon as it was ready but they didn't . The children's menu was VERY expensive for what it was, £25 for garlic bread, a small bowl of pasta and some ice cream. As it was a Sunday we were limited to the roast dinner which was fine as we love a roast but the food was average. It took ages to come out and the service was very slow, the beef was very fatty. I feel we were tricked with dessert as the menu said chocolate caramel but turned out to be egg custard! We had to ask for everything, sauces, drinks, a high chair, water.
