Well, let me tell you about this fine establishment. You might be put off by the hand painted sign creepily scawn on the side of the adjacent building like some cheap horror movie sign post, you might even be repulsed by the frankly outlandish claims made in the restaurantâs bombastic title (Afghan âtastyâ) - but donât you worry, those factors are surprisingly the venues strongest features when you take into account the egregious behaviour of the establishments owner.
Want to see queues of crusty barely legal college girls hovering around like a swarm of flies hoping to catch a whiff of wacky tobaccy from the owners upstairs apartment. Between the daunting hand written signage and the incessant swarm of young and misguided youths I Honestly wasnât sure if I was on Stapleton road or the queue for a cheap carnival ghost car ride.
One another note, I was only sat on the toilet for 42 minutes after eating there, which was a pleasant surprise considering the behaviour of the owner had me retching for twice that.
If youâd like to have a nice meal out on Stapleton road and are considering Afghan Tasty corner then let me advice you of the dumpsters round the back of the Lawrence Hill Lidl, itâs a much better...
Read moreTotally waste of money. I visited this place last night but the food wasnât fresh, very poor service, the atmosphere is not as standard as how a restaurant should be. Itâs written on their website they are open till 11 pm however, I arrived there just after 9pm with my friends and placed our order, when we asked for more rice and bread they said âcanât you eat the rest of your curry without rice and bread? the chefâs left before 9pm as itâs too lateâ. So, we asked for the bill straightaway and they didnât give us any written slip and tried to over charge us, on top of that theyâre asking to pay more money than the bill as itâs late (around 10pm). Ainât recommend anyone...
Read moreDelicious food and amazing service. Khano is a great chef who cooks authentic, fresh and tasty Afghan food. He is accompanied by his colleagues who provide you with great service and even some songs.
One of the best things about this restaurant is that you pay what you can. The money you pay towards your meal and any tips go towards feeding those less fortunate/people who are unable to pay.
This is a wonderful philosophy to have and Iâm very happy to contribute towards this great business again in the future.
Thanks again to Khano, Skylar and the rest of Afghan...
