Ali Mahal — Restaurant in Bristol

I recently ordered a takeaway from Ali Mahal Restaurant, and I am thoroughly impressed. The prices were exceptionally good, offering great value for money. My food was delivered ij good time (i ordered online), which was much appreciated.

The Daal was lovely, with just the right amount of spice—not too hot, but full of flavour. The Jalfrezi was wonderful as well, rich and delicious. Both dishes were clearly made with care and quality ingredients.

What an absolute disaster. I ordered from here on uber eats, based on the positive reviews. I have never had so many issues with an order. In order of severity: the meat was severely undercooked in my dopiaza, there was a chunk of elastic band in it, the yoghurt dip was completely rancid, lumpy and fizzy, the dopiaza was absolutely swimming in grease and the prawn puri had absolutely no taste. My meal was not just a disappointment, it was a genuine safety risk. Stay the heck away...

Ordered food from here for the first time to collect on a Sunday evening direct from their website (do this as it's cheaper). Ordered vegetarian (chana paneer, sag paneer, daal) and was really good.
