This is a constructive criticism review. I've been to Ruby Jeans several times for takeaway hot chocolate (the Marimba chocolate flakes are lush!), sit in brunch, and mid afternoon coffee/cake. The food has always been very good. The takeaway service however is very variable dependant on staff working. It is really positive to see a young work force but I feel that some training is possibly lacking or maybe not well refined which brings down the service unfortunately. My drink was handed over to me stone cold on one occasion and then half foam on another. I've waited around 20 minutes recently to order a takeaway hot chocolate and then leave which I feel is a really long wait especially when noone is communicating with you as too why it might be taking this long. The atmosphere is generally really nice and a lovely place to be (hence why i go back) but I do feel that some of the bench covers are pretty grubby which puts me off wanting to sit there. I want to keep supporting the local business so will probably come back but maybe more for the food than anything takeaway given the issues I've raised. Its nice to see the different themed nights occasionally which I might try next. I would be really appreciative if the owners could consider some of my...

A wonderful little place in Shirehampton with a great style; my partner and I came in for a light lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Looking at the menu, we didn't realise that after 12:30pm Roast Dinners are served. At first, I was reluctant for a roast dinner, but my partner convinced me and I must say, I'm very glad that she did.

12hr Smoked beef brisket for me and Lemon and Herb half a chicken for my partner. We were given great portions of meat, with beautifully cooked veg, amazing roast potatoes and a cauliflower cheese to rival your own mum's! Plus, a behemoth of a Yorkshire pudding on the side, with 'bottomless' homemade gravy.

It was fantastic. Food that you can tell is prepared with a lot of care and love for the craft. To say I was blown away by the standard of the food and service would be an understatement. We will certainly be...

The atmosphere felt cold and harsh, but the food was the most disappointing part of the visit. The meat version of the breakfast stack was a small portion. It wouldn't have been enough to satisfy my 9yr old! The base of the "stack" was a large hash brown which I imagine could be very nice. But mine was burnt to an almost black crisp! Exploding under knife and tasted burnt and greasy. There were a couple of overcooked bacon rashers and one sausage, very herby tasting. This is not to my liking for breakfast, but that's a preference. The real problem with it was that it was very grainy and chewy in texture. Overcooked, looked like it had been broiled, no colour to it and the colourless skin peeling off. Then it was cut in half length ways and added to the "stack". Overall a very odd and...

From enquiry through to payment, the staff at Ruby Jeans were amazing. I booked a table for 6 people as a casual baby shower Sunday breakfast, as my friend didn't want a big fuss. We were given a corner table with plenty of space. Not pushed to order anything until we were ready, lots of chatting. Delicious bacon sourdough sandwich, exactly how I asked for it (a bit crunchy, yum!) and we were allowed to bring in our own celebration cake (for a fee). You can tell it is a really lovely neighbourhood independent cafe, staff all friendly with customers/locals, and super attentive staff. Thank you so much :)

Hello reader, today we visited Ruby Jeans, we haven't been there for a long time, and today it's time to refresh some nice culinary memories. It's Tuesday morning. Let's start. Flat White coffee, rhubarb and custard tea, and on the table panini: Brie and cranberry and panini BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato) oh my! But it was good!!! Everything beautifully served by a nice employee. Atmosphere 10/10 stars. Cuisine 10/10 stars. Service 10/10 stars. Local gem!! Parking spaces are nearby. I highly recommend and encourage you to taste 😋

As a coffee shop this always looked really nice but was just too close to home. Now that it seems to have transitioned into deli with a takeaway coffee shop it's the perfect distance to pick up tasty things. For example there's a huge range of Snowdonia cheeses, see photo, I didn't know they made so many - you normally only see the Black Bomber. There's various essentials too like milk from Chew Valley Dairy, bread from Pullins.
