Caribbean Fix Bristol — Restaurant in Bristol

Unfortunately that's gonna be the last time i go to Caribbean Fix. waited a good while to get my food, and when i get it home (5mins away) everything is cold, apart from the dumplings, which i assume was what i was waiting to be cooked since everything else was stone cold. Rice and peas were really dry, bland and dissapointing, veg was swimming in water, and while i was waiting there was some kind of weird argument was going on between staff, and maybe thats why they didn't bother heating my food up properly 🤷🏼 Instant stomach ache after eating. Really not cool. Make the food as mediocre as you want, but you have to heat the food to a safe temperature before you serve it to people. It's irresponsible and out of order.

Its not like there isn't much choice in Bristol for food so I'll bin the loyalty card off thanks, and go elsewhere next time.

I commissioned Caribbean Fix to cater for a family event at mine. They were professional from start to finish. The order was placed, a date and time fixed for the delivery and set up of the buffet - I was told exactly what would happen and when and how much time was needed to set up. I also received adcise about the quantities i should be aiming for and how to place an order for best value for money. Followinf this, I was offerred a tasting to assess whether the level of spice was acceptable. The food itself was delicious and the portions, more than generous. This hidden gem on Fishpond’s road was definitely a bit of a surprise. Recently got a Half Jerk Chicken, Mac & Cheese and Rice and Peas. I also finished the meal with a Pineapple and Ginger fresh juice which is amazing on a Hot Day. The team here are fantastic and very welcoming.

The half Jerk Chicken was slipping off the bone (marinated in that Jerk Sauce), the Mac and cheese was so good, I’d forgotten to take a photo. The rice and peas was also a good combination with the Jerk chicken! Portion sizes were definitely worth the price paid.
