The Star is a brilliant pub with a top-notch atmosphere, great music, and friendly staff. Hands down, the best Guinness I’ve had around. With pool, skittles, and more, there’s always something to do, but the real highlight is the Irish music—if you’re after a proper pint and a good time, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

An incredible Irish pub that has a lush wooden structure which is really immersive with great people, great drinks, and overall a great experience. The pub also features live music all of the time, and it constantly seems to have a great atmosphere with lots of customers almost every night.

I’ve had a few pints of Guinness over the last 20+ years and the Guinness that I had last week at this place is up there with the best, definitely the best I’ve had in Bristol, a credit to whoever is looking after the cellar, we will be back soon 👏👍

Great authentic Irish boozer. There is usually a good selection of beers to choose from although I have had a couple of ales there that have not been as fresh as I'd have liked.

The atmosphere is great with a decent mix of different types of people. Usually busy but rarely feels TOO busy. The garden is bangin although I've yet to experience it in the summer. I also haven't seen any live music there yet but I'm told that's really good.

The staff are usually really friendly although you do get the odd young'un at the bar whose a bit lacking in people skills.

Haven't tried the food there but they have a good selection of bar snacks.

Decent pub all round. Will go there more often in...

The Landlord was rude and aggressive which was very of putting indeed.

That is the worst thing about this pub! I wouldn't ever go there again.. It was at one stage friendly and warm but its popularity is its downfall. There are pot smoking people outside and this is fine as the landlord seems to have a fondness of his fellow kind?

The pub itself is pleasant and much has been done to improve the facilities. The beer etc is fantastic! Great selection. Its just a shame the landlord is so rude and aggressive. If you want a friendly atmosphere then...

A cracking drinker for drinkers. Thursday's happy hour is fab (5 -7 I seem to recall, but I was full of their perfectly kept ale, so it's a little hazy) A microbrewery on site and a beer garden with nick nacks and a lovely countryside vibe despite being right next to Fishponds road- a busy Bristol main route. The staff are ever so friendly, as are the clientele, which as far as I can tell are a fairly diverse bunch. Loved the two gentlemen jamming on some folk songs last Friday... Just sitting in the corner doing their thing... Great stuff....
