International Food Centre — Local services in Bristol

I have been buying from here for many years in big quantities and I never requested a payment slip because they are not offered automatically until I noticed a couple of years ago that my bill is way higher than expected. I started to request a proof of purchase slip to compare, where I found that the prices scanned at the till are something and the prices displayed, including promotional prices printed from the origin, are something totally different. I started buying fewer items to see if that was a coincidence but unfortunately, it was not. I have informed the owner many times about the difference of prices displayed on frozen foods glass freezers and the charges at the till but he kept coming up with excuses every time, even though I have made it quite clear that the prices of same item of different brands are recorded using the highest brand's price using the barcode of the one higher in quality and price. It seems that the owner buys surplus quantities about to expire or on promotional prices but uses the barcode price of an original premium goods at its highest price. A great store with an enormous amount of selection. An entire food shop could be made here with a lot of fresh food, snacks, and beverages. There's a lot of options you can find here which are quite rare in supermarkets.

The staff have always been polite here with one of the older ones always being happy and approachable. My favourite staff member here though, is the white cat you can find hanging out from time-to-time!

Edit: Dropping the rating due to health and safety reasons. This store constantly displays food & drink that is way out of date. This is really not okay and the store should be checking these before putting them...

International Food Centre has all the usual ammenaties, but there's also a baklava counter, a butcher, and tucked away underneath the milk, there's a container of fresh olives. There's fruit and veg, a couple a freezers, and an array of herbs and spices. You can get most things here, and with it being an international foods shop, there's always something new to catch your eye. Staff are friendly, and the shop is open until 11pm if you're doing...
