Got to speak out about public. When in the public park.Come on. If adults are there. Act responsibily. I've helped no end on a 999 call. One male kicked and punched to the ground by 4 thugs. Youngsters, no parents bothering. Drug packets, alcohol. Paper headline. 29 billion deficit because alcohol. Adults acting like children. You buy alcohol. You surely know you have the capacity to act responsibily. Its not all about your insular selfish selfs. This riot is caused by adults acting like children. Its spreading across the uk. Surely you realise that actions of sick conduct do cause you to suffer justice, sentence. What about children. If children get abandoned at risk . When you are old. You will rely on children that take care of you. If no one sees common sense in this. Oh my god. Forget the future. Think of real suffering as it is getting stupidly out of control. I am stepping back thinking of humans. Never assisting any suffering. I am never going to consider any human as the quote goes. Go with the flow of non caring attitude. Best of luck...
Read moreGreat sized park, beware of cyclists commuting through and treating it as a cycle path. If you're expecting to be able to walk your dog off lead, be prepared to dodge them, as not all slow down. My dog has been knocked down in to the river by a cyclist and the cyclist had the audacity to tell me to control my dog, no comprehension that they could slow down or maybe use the road to commute rather than the park. Its brilliant to see lycra clad cyclists with helmets on, using the park to cycle in rather than the roads!
Another great new addition to dodge is Voi electric scooters... Imagine if us with dogs to walk, thought it appropriate to us the motorway or the main roads (not paths) to walk our dogs, would that be acceptable?
The park I feel also has a certain tone.....the basketball courts are open and free for all to use, sadly that doesn't apply to the tennis courts, that's chargeable. My observations have noted that maybe the tennis courts are aimed and available for certain people of privilege that can afford to pay...
Read moreA large open park area, with big playing fields, a slight hill, ideal for jogging, sports and just chilling. The park is in a working class, fairly urban area and is quite popular with local residents. Near the bottom is large lake with a population of gulls, ducks and geese, the path you can follow takes you out towards snuff mills. The park has some railings though not all the way along, there is no opening or closing time. Generally I'd say it seems a pretty safe place to be morning, afternoon or evening, wouldn't go there at night though. There is some play equipment there at the top too for children and a basketball court. Some football and cricket games are held on the weekend as well as park runs. Eastville Park contains a lot of dog walkers as nearly all parks in Bristol do. Down by the lake keep an eye out for crows, black headed gulls, mute swans, a grey heron, mallards, moorhen, coots and even kingfishers. All in all a nice oasis...
