First time here in a while. Prices have gone up since I was last here, but they are still cheaper. It has had a bit of a makeover. And has also changed ownership. It still remains a popular place, and although it is your typical greasy spoon cafe with the main custom coming from 👷‍♂️ and people living nearby. The food is fresh and plenty of it! They have added a few new items to their menu. They now do cappuccinos and lattes. One thing that has not changed is the warm welcome and the speed of service from all the staff 😀 I would recommend coming here

Friendly classic British cafe. Had the jacket potato with chilli and cheese and it was LOADED 👌 Had a little wait for the cup of tea and the server got a bit mixed up with drinks but she was friendly. Seemed popular, as all tables filled and a few regulars in there. £7 for this dish which I thought was good for the amount of food! Bottom of the potato was a bit hard but not a bother as it's easily done, I'm used to my own jackets doing that at home! The fry ups other people were having looked good too.

Friendly service, I ordered the large fry up, really enjoyed it. Came in a few minutes just after 7am. Nice vibe, will go back

This is based on a full english breakfast. The customer service from the staff member was great 10/10, as for the food I found the mini roasted potatoes were still hard in the middle, the egg was like rubber with a hard yolk, the bacon definately couldve been cooked for longer and I've heard of fried bread but burnt bread is something else above all the the older woman that was in charge had a really nasty attitude against the staff member that was on duty to an extent that the staff member actually cried, all of this was clearing heard by all customers trying to eat their food . I find this to be an appalling way to work being bullied and manipulated in front of customers, as a manager or owner of the cafe you should be disgusted and dissapointed with your behaviour towards your staff. All I can say is...

Went in for a breakfast, was okay... Toast was soggy, weren't asked how we'd like our eggs done, black pudding was fine, bacon was average. The best thing on the plate was the beans and tomatoes and that comes from a can, wasn't the worst I've ever had but I won't be back and wouldn't recommend it. Especially after hearing one of the girls saying quite loudly "we don't care about food hygiene here" those were her words verbatim. And the other girl responded about 5 seconds later after laughing"we do" because she noticed there were actually people in there eating. sorry. But once I hear someone saying they don't care about hygiene there. That's me...
