I rarely ever do this - but I feel I canāt let this go. My friend booked us a double date for us and our partners to get away from frantic life. It was a treat for us all.
The lady who greeted us (gothic looking, amazing eyeliner) was wonderfully welcoming and attentive, I thought we were in for a brilliant night. Wrong.
The food was exceptional - truly exceeded our expectations by a mile. I didnāt even mind paying Ā£6.50 for a can of lager.
Our waitress spoiled everything. When we were taken to our table, before we sat she asked āwould you like olives?ā, to which I replied āoh, how much are they?ā She stared at me and went āNo, thenā and walked away. I assumed she hadnāt heard me.
Our friends arrived, and I try to forget about it. I ask to order, she says yes - walks briefly away to walk back and say Iāve got to clear a table first for people coming. My partner says āā¦but we are here?ā. She leaves to do what she has to.
She takes our orders - thereās no conversation let alone a smile. We all felt like a burden and rushed. She then slammed plates down on her return. Several times she pushed past my friend making physical contact past her to do what she needed. It was incredibly unsettling and shocking. We tried laughing off the utter rudeness as it was mind blowing.
She then comes over as our friends are still eating with mouths full of their platter asking if she can clear the table and are we finished. Obviously not. And walked away. When she cleared the table she was forceful, aggressive would be the word we would choose, unfortunately - the same as when she lied the plates down.
The worst for me was, when she brought the bill - and asked brazenly āare you comfortable with the gratuity charge?ā. I must be honest - after all this, I had to respond swiftly āNoā. She was stood next to me and I could genuinely feel her angst and irritation towards me. There was a moment of silence.
Iāve sent this to the restaurant but it doesnāt allow to add more on there, so I hope it reaches them here. Our two partners felt so uncomfortable by the tip thing and the way she was with us they both jumped in pushing to just give the tip to get it over with.
This has left the most sour taste to go home with that Iāve ever had at a restaurant. The lady was a young blonde. So gutting as everything else was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've come to Koocha multiple times, and every time it's felt like so much more than just coming to a restaurant, it's always felt like a whole new experience, filled with incredible and delicious healthy food, caring and friendly service, and a beautiful, warm, homely and welcoming atmosphere. Every time I come here, I'm amazed and enchanted by the amount of variety of food they have available, and the amount of choice available. I am also always amazed by the amount of effort, Care, preparation and dedication that goes into each dish, every starter, every side, every main and every dessert has a lot of thought, work and effort gone into it too Phil each dish with unique flavours, each dish is seasoned and prepared beautifully, and you can really tell that a lot of hard work and Care has gone into preparing a healthy, nutritious and incredibly tasty dish. Whenever I eat here, I feel that the deliciously prepared food and the beautiful and warm atmosphere is worth every penny I spend. I've come here with different friends each time, and each time every friend I've brought here absolutely adores the food and the atmosphere. The restaurant is also very inclusive of peoples needs, and clearly sees each customer as an individual. It is one of the only restaurants I know which has a braille menu, which is amazing for visually impaired customers like myself. It's clear that they see every customer as an individual. When I came the other day with my partner and my friend, the members of staff Jaz, Amber and Nicky were kind, supportive, very friendly and very helpful, and they created a very welcoming and warm atmosphere which made our evening an unforgettable night out. Thank you so much to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I went to this restaurant yesterday and food was amazing BUT we were shocked to notice a few things. 1 - The girl who was making the drinks was not wearing apron and when she was making drinks she was constantly wiping her hands from her pants and touching glasses and spoons and lemons etc with those same hands.
2 - Another girl who was cooking was scratching her neck and hair sometimes as it was hectic and may be she was stressed but same hands was used to touch the food people were consuming.
3 - no one in the kitchen or outside wore a head cap. To be honest I don't know how you guys have 5 starts in hygiene.
4 - The person taking orders went for a smoke break twice which is fine but during that time no body was there for any support. Again he did not go wash hands. This time we got served with those hands.
So this is serious guys. You can't be so ignorant and serve people just anything. You have to take care of basic hygiene. There are old people, pregnant ladies and so many other kinds of people that can not afford to get sick but they can if they eat here. I did not have the guts to speak to anyone regarding these points there because I was embarrassed to say them out loud but I felt it was imp to share.
The rest of the points are fine as they were understaffed and food took forever to arrive but all that can be ignored if the food is good.
Lastly quantity - I ordered oyestor mushrooms wings. I got 4 small pieces. Now this place is a lil pricy I would have at least expect a 6 pieces. So lots of scope...
