Being a sports bar, I would not have chosen to go there! It was so loud with the tvs blaring out so loud that everyone was shouting at each other to be heard, yet no one was watching the tvs anyway! I was only there as it was for a friends birthday meal. We had to place our orders 3 days in advance, yet they still didn't have all of the food needed. Where situated, there are supermarkets within a few minutes walk from it. I chose cod in batter with lemon, tarter sauce, and chuncky chips, with the option of bread and butter. When my order was placed 3 days beforehand, I was told that they didn't have bread and butter. When my food arrived, the batter was so greasy, and the cod in places wasn't that nice, however the chuncky chips were lovely, I didn't get any lemon with it as they had run out. A few other people had to wait ages for their food as they ran out of tomatoes, and a member of staff had to go to the shop and buy some! The same with desserts, things were missing as they had run out! Why pre-order your meals days in advance and not have the right ingredients in for the meals is unacceptable! One lady dessert was so badly burnt that they still dumped ice cream on it and served it to her. She did complain and got a new dessert, but the burnt smell from it was so strong that should of not been sent out, another lady had the same problem but didn't want to say anything about it and just left it, yet paid for it. She said that if she had known that it happened to someone else and they complained and got a new one, then she would have done the same thing. It was nice to see everyone at the meal, but the kitchen staff let the group of birthday party down. Also claims to be disabled access, one person in a wheelchair had to have 3 people to help get her and her wheelchair up a very high step to get her to where the party was being held at. She said that the disabled toilet was so small that she couldn't get her standard size wheelchair into it. Don't claim that you have disabled access, but state the facts that you have disabled access into the pub, but not all areas! You only have disabled access to go inside and up to the bar. That would be more acceptable. I would not go...
Read moreWent there for a friends birthday meal. It's definitely not a place for that unless you are into sports. Very loud tvs, yet no one watching them. And everyone had to shout at each other to be heard when talking because the tvvs were so loud. Food had to be pre ordered, which isn't a problem. The problem was that even though it was pre ordered, they still ran out of ingredients, which is unacceptable. The food was not that great! It's definitely a sports bar only, not a place to get together, and definitely not a birthday meal. The young lady who was serving us was lovely and friendly and couldn't apologise enough for the missing food and the time it took her by herself to serve us all (over 20 in the group) some didn't get their food before others had finished eating. Really, the manager should have apologised for all the mishaps, not the lovely...
Read moreBooked Christmas party, food and food service was great. However the bar service was very very poor. I mentioned to a member of staff that I and another customer had been waiting longer then someone who they were now serving was met with atatude, on my second visit the same happened I mentioned again that other were being serviced first. A staff member asked another to serve me I then saw her say " if I serve her I'll tell her to f*¤k off". I instantly told a senior member of staff. I was told of staffing problems and that there was 2 party's. I told her that I was with one of the party's and that I would be telling the organiser that we shouldn't pay in full because of this. They instantly changed the way I was served and given 10% off our...
