Charlton Arms — Restaurant in Broxtowe

Well all I can say is don’t bother going!!! A table was booked for 12 people dining we were given the smallest space at the front that’s raised to try and fit 12 people round a square table for 4 so pulled two small round tables up to all try squeeze round!! Ending up with some of us with our backs to one another, ordered meals at 8pm to be told it would be about 45 min before served, ok but the pub was not even busy but we agreed. So am half hr later two meals came out, hr later couple more then hr and half later the rest came!!!! And I can say that it was no way worth waiting that long for !!! So we were all eating separately absolutely terrible service and I’ve seen some believe me but this beats them all. And the ladies toilets half the doors don’t lock and they smell of sewers so off putting straight away. I will be letting everybody know of our terrible visit and...

Bar staff cannot place any food orders if their lifes depended on it. Food can occasionally be poor, Toilets need cleaning and repairs making. The place needs shutting and gutting Ffwd to Sept 2021...... . .........that was my previous review 3 yr ago....

This was easily some of the best pub grub I've ever had. The portion sizes were generous, the taste was amazing, and there was very little on the menu I wouldn't want to try at some point. We had a garlic bread sharer platter between us, and truthfully if I'd had that again for the main course I wouldn't have considered it a wasted trip. Definitely worthwhile visiting this place.
