I have been to the Cadland a handful of times and each visit there was an issue with food. They either take the order then tell us it's not available or bring the wrong order. My father in law ordered fish and chips, the fish was hard and the portion of chips was pathetic. Giving it a 2nd chance he ordered the same thing on the next visit for the fish to slightly improve however again 10 chips on an adult size plate is ridiculous. I find the cheap slice of bread and butter a rip off too and both times its been ordered it has been forgotten when the food arrives. My husband ordered a fish finger sandwich and it was pulled pork when it arrived. He ate it as we all wanted to eat at the same time however how hard can it be to order and the food arrive correctly?! I also find the staff miserable it wouldn't hurt to smile, especially considering the food is, at best, ok. You should be trying to impress customers not make them feel like they should be grateful for you doing your job, if you don't like working there leave it's not the customers problem if you aren't happy, which you clearly aren't. On another occasion eating with friends it became embarrassing how many times my friend ordered food to then have the waitress come over to say that they didn't have it. There is a lot of...
Read moreBeen a local for years. Was in the other day in the other day with a friend and his father. Was planning to spend most the afternoon there and eventually get some food.
We sat down at a table around 2pm, then at 4:15pm a bar maid came over and put a notice on our table saying ‘this table is booked from 5pm’ so basically kicking us off our table in 45 mins, I was like excuse me we’ve been here for two hours and was planning on getting some food?
Sent email complaining and I’ll copy and paste the passive-agressive, couldn’t care less response 😂
“Hello Tris, thanks for getting in touch. I am unsure what it is that you’re unhappy about? We like the majority of eateries allow bookings on all our tables, this is a company wide policy. Our team came over and explained the table was booked for the evening session in plenty of time, and as you say you could have moved to another table if you wished to. We don’t put reserved signs out for evening bookings at 2pm as this would also put people off using the tables, and garner criticism. From what you have described our team followed the booking policy and politely informed you of a reservation. I’m not sure what else we could have done. Kind Regards,
The...
Read moreCould be a lovely pub with friendly customers, nice log fire. But it's how it's ran I'm not happy with.. There is a small brunette female I believe is manager is a not friendly at all. No people skills whatsoever.. Every time I've gone there she has given me a unwelcoming feeling. On one occasion I was sitting with my partner who I live with after the lockdown she comes over and says I can't sit with her so I had to move away from her even though she is part of my bubble and I live with her. And another time I came in I wanted to eat.. As soon as I came in she says abruptly said bookings only not accommodating me in the slightest.. I'm a regular member and come in numerous times a week spending on food and drinks but because of her unwelcoming and un-accomodating attitude I choose to not come as much. Because I want to sit next to my partner and like to still be welcomed better than I do.. I think she needs to go on a customer...
