After a good old gym work out I fancied a steak and iv drove past this place a few times to and from work. So I thought I’d give it a try well the steak was perfectly cooked to my liking med rear swapped the chips for salad and added two fried eggs as you do. With the pepper corn sauce it could have been a bit thicker sauce but it was nice And the meal was perfect thank you. The only problem was when I asked if I could swap the chips for the salad. They said it would not be a full salad just a side salad portion lol. When on the sides menu the chips are the same price as the salad. Which I presume you still get the same amount of chips what are on your plate as you would as a side dish?. It was a perfect flavorous salad with pickled red onion, sun-dried tomatoes with rocket salad which made it quite delicious. Thank you I will be returning. Price was also reasonable to get a decent steak .đŸ„© đŸ‘ŒđŸ‘đŸ»

The Manor has been taken over in recent times by the same people who run The Commercial Inn in Beeston, which has a very good reputation. We visited therefore with high expectations which were only enhanced further by actually going there. The pub is welcoming to dogs both inside and out. Replenished frequently water bowls placed for them, also. Pleasant and comfortable outside seating and gardens area where you can eat food ordered from the menu. Very nice staff behind the bar and an excellent choice of beers, too. We chose from the tapas options and the food was fantastic. As good as what you would get in a dedicated tapas restaurant. Portions generous for both mains and sides. The Manor in Toton was a delightful establishment to visit. Clearly, the owners take a pride in providing great drinks, food and service. Will certainly visit again. A five star rating well deserved.

We had a mediocre meal that arrived within a reasonable time and was hot. The steak was ordered medium but arrived well done. No one came back to check if the meals are all OK, and they were by no means busy, as they would have been notified then. Also, the vinegar bottles have yeast and bacteria goobs in them, which we didn't realise until after we started to pour it onto the chips, by then it is too late. A disgusting sight that has put us both off and we shall not be returning. Also, I would not recommend the establishment. Over priced and under performing.

I would avoid at all costs! I would not even give this restaurant 1 star!

I was looking forward to this meal as I had never attended this restaurant before. Upon arrival we was greeted by a member of staff, who turned out to be the manager which was not clear at all. It was also not clear who were staff and who wasn’t as there was no dress code/uniform. He did not speak a word to us upon greeting us apart from “who is the table for” he then walked off without any word and led us to the table. This should have been an indication of what was to come. We had no explanation of Covid measures or how to order etc. On top of this we ordered a table for 6 and was only given a table for 5.

We then ordered and waited over 2 hours for our food to finally arrive. Once it did it was extremely cold. The food was dry and was also missing items that was ordered such as peppercorn sauce. Having waited for such a long time, this was extremely disappointing. I appreciate that times are not easy at the moment with everything going on but waiting over 2 hours for your food to then come cold doesn’t sit right. We then waited for another 40 minutes after finishing the food and the table had still not been cleared. We finally decided that the service was not up to scratch and decided to ask for the manger. We waited and a bartender who looked scared and was only young come over and offered us a 10% discount. The manager wasn’t even bothered to come down to discuss the matter at hand. We then asked for the manager again and he then did show his face. He did not once apologise and we asked for our money back, which he agreed to. I thought okay we will leave this here and go on our way. However, instead of a refund he had charged the group again for the meals. So overall as a group we are now down 300 pounds. We hadn’t notice this until we was home so we decided to go back down to the pub to get the money back. The bartender was very helpful but I can’t say the same for the manager. The manager had gone home and the bartender offered us the money back in cash. The manager then re-appeared and was still not apologetic and tried to pass the blame onto the meals we had ordered and how busy the restaurant was.

Overall an awful evening from start to finish and will never return and would not recommend anyone to return until the management...

Definitely AVOID!! I’ve just got home from an awful experience here, we arrived at 7:00pm and ordered our food pretty much straight away (as we had looked at the menu before arriving) we were waiting 45 minutes for our starters, then waited a further 15-20 minutes for our plates to be taken away. We then continued to wait another hour for our mains! After asking at the bar a couple of times how long it was going to be we were told it’ll be with you in the next 5 minutes. Once the mains had FINALLY arrived they were either wrong, missing something (ie peppercorn sauce which you pay extra for!) freezing cold or dry.

We asked to speak to the manager as we had been waiting for these mains over an hour and all we got is a staff member come over and say ‘ he’ll give you 10% off’ we then said we want to speak to the manager so he came over a few minutes later well..... he was EXTREMELY rude! he didn’t care about anything we had to say! we praised one of his staff members who had been running around all evening trying to please everyone and he just didn’t care at all! we asked for a full refund on the food which he agreed to so he came back over with his card machine to refund all the meals.

After getting home extremely disappointed we checked our banks to make sure the refund was in the pending to see that the manager HADN’T given us a refund he had charged us all AGAIN!!😡 so i’m now £43 down and not happy!!

It’s now 10:30pm at night and we headed back to the pub and asked to speak to the manager again and was told he wasn’t on the premises so we said we want him here now. (the girl behind the bar was so lovely and gave us a refund in cash straight away and apologised loads). As soon as he arrived he just didn’t care at all we just got a pathetic sorry and when i asked about why the food was cold he tried to turn it around on us and said ‘because you ordered a mixed grill they take longer so the other meals would get cold because we had to cook the mix grill’ i’ve worked in a pub before and know that’s no excuse! He just didn’t care and wasn’t bothered at all and had no customer service.

It’s safe to say we definitely won’t...
