We visited Tony's Bar & Grill for the first time for their Afternoon Tea with Prosecco, as of the time of posting appears on Groupon as an offer.

Firstly, for some reason there is no mention of Afternoon Teas on their website or menus page which is quite odd considering it is something they should really shout about as it wasn't just us in there who had a Groupon offer for the Afternoon Tea.

We were greeted when we arrived and asked where we wanted to sit, we noticed it was quite busy when we arrived in my opinion a good thing.

We were asked what type of tea we wanted from their selection which included:

Everyday Brew Peppermint Chamomile Green Tea with Mint

Lovely warm and calm atmosphere, when you arrive you wouldn't believe it was on a busy road, plus being a very clean and slick looking venue for starters.

We were asked if you wanted the Tea or the Prosecco first, so decided to have the tea first with the glass of Prosecco to finish.

Normally Afternoon Tea's which I have arrive in tiers with sandwiches, scones followed by desserts and cakes on top, this was no different aside from the sandwiches which came loaded on a Ciabatta style.

These were: Salmon & Cream Cheese Cheese & Chutney Coronation Chicken

The scones however, on the Groupon page didn't state if they were fruit/cheese or plain scones however, the Groupon images show plain scones so it's likely you can ask for plain for fruit scones as they arrived for us they were fruit scones, so something to keep in mind if you don't like fruit scones.

Everything was served in a timely manner with the staff being very polite, they often went round to each of the other tables/guests checking in on them and keeping the place looking tidy whilst clearing away empty plates and glasses.

As mentioned the sandwiches were loaded and were very tasty and prepared very nicely. Having a huge pot of tea needed to make sure we had enough room on the table aside from the mini cake selection everything was quite a big size so you really got your moneys worth in my opinon.

Overall we couldn't thought our first visit to Tony's Bar & Grill aside from they need to shout about their Afternoon Tea's more on the website and social pages as more and more people should really get to enjoy this as we did.

We've booked again but this time to try their 3 course food menu so the review will be updated once we've...

Came with a Wowcher deal last night, I would've been disappointed if paid full price sadly. The meatballs were nice but they were supposed to be spicy, they weren't at all. I had the bacon cheese burger for mains, meat was a little dry but fine, plenty of bacon, my main issue was the pickled onions or whatever they were on the bottom, they were too strong flavour and so wet they made my cob soggy so I ate it with no bottom lol. The fries were nice but far too oily for me. Pudding was a chocolate tart which was nice. Husband said the Chicken & Chorizo Skewer was really nice and he enjoyed it. The waitress that looked after us most of the night was lovely and was trying very hard with everyone, didn't get her name unfortunately. Now, without this next issue we might have returned with another Wowcher deal but... While we were there my husband had two alcohol free Old Mount Ciders £3.70 each and I had a small glass of Rose wine £5, when asked for the bill the drinks were totally wrong, they charged us for two alcoholic Crane Ciders and a Medium glass of Wine which came to £16+, when I approached the lady at the bar about it she didn't seem happy to help me, almost as if I was lying. My husband told her twice it should come to £12.40, I still ended up paying £14 somehow 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ My husband was so mad he walked out and I just felt awkward as hell so paid...

First time here and it won't be the last. The entrance was in need of a bit of attention. Once inside the atmosphere was good. Full tables. I was on my own and wanted a different table that the one offered. It was no bother at all for them. I had the prawns to start with followed by the chicken and chorizo. The chips were really nice. All the food was lovely. Didn't wanted to order the desserts in the menu and I asked for apple pie as I saw it was served. The waitress quickly went to the kitchen. Although she didn't promised one, I had been saved one. The service was next to none. They were very attentive. They checked on me many times and always with a smile. Portions were generous. I am a good eater and struggled to finish it all. The wine was very nice too. Not too strong. But strong enough. I had not had a drink in a long time and I really enjoyed. Not used the restroom so I can't say. The head chef was under pressure but he did delivered. Dishes were rolling out and you did not wait long for your food. The ambience was right. Not too loud, not too quiet. All in all 12 out of 10. Amazing experience. I definitely will repeat. I will try the steak next time. Thank you for my...

Went to Tony's last night with my good friend and we had a brilliant time. The staff were very attentive and we were served very swiftly. We had the grilled Halloumi and chicken wings starters, delicious! We then had the Salmon and Steak Tagliatta for mains, again delicious and the chef even came out and asked the diners if they were enjoying their meals which was a nice touch. For desserts (which was a hard decision as they were so many to choose from) we chose the Vanilla Cheesecake with berry compote and this was amazing. The atmosphere was very relaxing with candles on the tables and low light which was good. We arrived at 6 and it was fairly quiet but as we left at 7.50 the place was nearly packed. Drinks are reasonably priced so all in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Thank you to all for making it special.

Food was incredible. The young lad who served us was very polite and helpful. We used a groupon offer: 3 courses and a drink for 4 people at the price of £40 on selected dates. Starters we had the garlic bread and meatballs. The garlic bread was homemade and so soft. Mains we had the rump steak and the bacon cheeseburger. We did have to wait extra time because they overcooked our first steak but once it did arrive it was cooked perfectly. The chips were amazing definitely recommend over the fries. Dessert we had New York cheesecake, sorbet and chocolate tart. Music was a little loud. There wasn’t anyone to greet us and we didn’t know if we had to seat ourselves. Could do with either a wait here sign or someone who approaches you when you arrive. Probably wouldn’t return without an offer. Food was great quality.
