The good old Foresters. The first ale house I ever ventured into in 1985. You cannot argue with the calibre of the beer tasters in this place.........they'd beat you up! My young son asked if I would take him to see some horses....so I brought him in here to watch the racing! I asked a friendly looking fellow if he had picked any winners? He looked at me and said 'no,but you can pick any window!' The landlady was nice and cheerful though, she only threatened to slit my throat once! On a more serious note though, this is a good watering hole for people like me......alcoholics! I lit a cigarette in the lounge and the landlord rushed over to me and said'You can't smoke that in here.......get in the vault with it!' They even have pockets on the pool table! Great night, good beer, good company...

The barmaids were looking after everyone via table service and were doing an amazing job even though the pub was busy. Looking forward to our next...
