Pizza was okay needed more leoparding on the crust.Fungi Dolcelatte was okay at best, bacon (should be pancetta) in it was very chewy but the mushrooms were why this score was a 2 but a 1. My Calamari was like a Michelin tyre and incredibly overdone and unseasoned. Worst of all the Risotto Marinara was bland, tasteless, mushy like baby food, and the seafood in it tasted gritty like it hadn’t been washed. Just to top it off, they forgot the tiramisu which I had to go back for. Would not go here again!

Hands down, the best italian i’ve been to, The staff and food were just incredible, Servers were so accommodating and found us a table for 2 instantly, Food came out quickly and was absolutely unreal! The service was absolutely amazing, I didn’t manage to catch the servers name but she gave us a shot of limoncello on the house! I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing❤️ Thank you so much for making our evening! We will definitely be back.

We came here for new years eve with friends as we have dined at L’Aquila sereval times before. However this is the first time weve been since the spilt with the prestwich branch. From when we sat down to leaving 2 1/2 hours later we was really disappointed with our experience. It took over 20 minutes to get a menu (which we had to ask for), they also didn’t ask if we had any allergies. It then a further 20 minutes to take our order (which again we had to ask the waitress to take our order). We also had to get our own drinks from the bar.

The starters were wrong and we only got half of it, we had to keep chasing for the other half which was a cold reject from another table!

For our mains, we ordered 4 different pasta dishes, which we’ve previously had from here before. The spaghetti carbonara was tasteless, gooey and left my stomach churning. The farfalle pasta dish looked and tasted like it came from the toilet and we was really disappointed as this has been our favourite pasta dish whenever we’ve dined here. The “fillet steak” within the dish wasn’t fillet, the broccoli was rock hard, the pepper sauce was watery and there were no pine nuts.

The young waitresses were friendly however they moaned constantly to paying guests about the chef walking out earlier in the day. They were also acting unprofessional, laughing when trying to stick the balloons back to the ceiling when there were tables to be served and tables to be cleaned.

Unfortunately, this will be the last time we dine here at the Sunnybank L’Aquila and will stick to the...

As a family we were looking forward to visiting this local restaurant. We had vouchers bought for us from our daughter at Christmas. The vouchers were valid for 12 months. These were met with anomosity. We were told that they were to be used in December (although the vouchers had terms that they didn't pay attention to) and also we were questioned where they were bought. We bought all vouchers from this branch and were told when buying them that they were only valid for the sunnybank restaurant. We used them here and the manager was very rude about them. Considering they only have 2 restaurants, I wouldn't expect such confusion. They made a big deal about accepting them and made it out like they were doing us a favour. I don't expect to be made to feel so small when using a voucher bought directly from this restaurant. The food was nice, but like the Prestwich branch, you are made to feel like they are doing you a favour when you are paying a premium price for food. I don't expect the red carpet treatment, but it wasn't the only instance that night that the...

I delata cáprese to start absolutely no seasoning or flavour, mearest suggestion of balsamic. Farfalle l’aquila to follow, three pieces of brócoli, four pine nuts, sauce was like gravy, no brandy flavour whatsoever. Steak really chewy. After 1.5hours, as we were not having desert, the waiter pretty much asked us to move and finish our drinks at the bar so they could seat other people. At the time of booking there was no mention of 2hr limit. At 1hr 50 mins they arrived at the table saying the 2 hr limit is up so pretty much leave. The atmosphere was awful, staff had zero charisma and the noise levels were dreadful. When you hear if the great reviews from the Prestwich branch, you expect the same but quite honestly the meal I’ve just eaten at sunnybank is one of the worse meals I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your money going here, there’s much better...
