McDonald's — Restaurant in Bury

I've been a regular at the McDonald's drive-thru for quite some time, and overall, my experiences have been quite positive. The convenience of grabbing a quick meal on the go is unmatched, and McDonald's consistently delivers on that front. Here’s a breakdown of my thoughts:

Food Quality: 5/5 The food at this McDonald's location has always met my expectations. The burgers are juicy, the fries are perfectly crispy, and the nuggets are always hot and delicious. The variety on the menu ensures that there's something for everyone, and I’ve never been disappointed with the taste or temperature of my orders. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food quality remains consistently high, making every visit a satisfying one.

Service Speed: 4/5 The drive-thru service is generally fast and efficient. Even during peak hours, the staff manage to keep the line moving at a good pace. The employees are friendly and courteous, making the experience pleasant. The only reason I’m not giving a perfect score here is because there are occasional delays, but nothing too frustrating.

Order Accuracy: 3/5 Here’s where things get a bit tricky. While the main components of my order are always correct, there’s one recurring issue: they almost always forget the sauces. As someone who loves dipping sauces with my nuggets and fries, this can be quite disappointing. I’ve learned to check my bag before driving away, but it would be great if the staff could be more consistent in including the sauces without needing a reminder. It's a small detail, but it makes a big difference in the overall experience.

Overall Experience: 4/5 Despite the occasional hiccup with the sauces, I still highly recommend this McDonald’s drive-thru. The food quality and friendly service more than make up for the minor inconvenience. Plus, the ease of accessing a quick and tasty meal on busy days is invaluable. If they could just nail down the sauce situation, it would be a five-star experience all around.

04/08/25: 2315hrs: took 50 minutes to cook and wrap up food according to the app. This store rarely delivers at a basic level. Food arrived, was cold, not even warm. No sauce AGAIN. One of the drinks was half empty and was spilled in the bag that dripped across the hall & kitchen floor. The fries were half full! The burgers were thrown in the box. Photos attached. 13/07/25: Double quarter pounder, with cheese and 6 nuggets. Acceptable. 20/04/24: delivered on a bike. A pedal bike. Cold food. No sauce. Chips, literally white, raw & uncooked! 15/04/25: wrong items. No answer from store, tried ringing every time I got off every 2 minutes.06/124: stars slowly creeping up. Now 2 stars. Ordered a double cheeseburger and 20 nuggets for sharing. 20/10/24: McRib is back. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Reminded me of when it first came out about 10 years ago! 21/09/24: order cold. Driver made 3 stops before mine. Philly Cheese Stack & Chicken nuggets. BBQ sauce requested but MISSING from order AGAIN. Refund requested and accepted! 19/09/24: Order to perfection! BBQ sauce included! Order same as below, but, with the BBQ sauce as requested! 15/09/24: new Philly Cheese Stack. Excellent burger, however, missing BBQ. Requested refund. 27/08/24: it goes from bad to worse. Selected no mayo and got extra mayo on the spicy burger and asked for 4 BBQ sauces with the 20 nuggets, Got zero sauces AGAIN! 23/08/24: no sauces delivered 07/08/24: our order was correct. Double quarter pounder, chicken nuggets and fries. 05/03/24: door in wrong position. Who designed a front facing store with an entrance with a side entry door! Ridiculous! Food hot this time, and, as per order! 15/02/24: from the Drive Through, food was hot and tasty. Quarterpounder cheeseburger medium meal. Served by a lovely friendly lady. 10/02/23: food cold. No sauces. Chips never seen a frier, they were raw!!! Unseasoned! 10/08/22: Food inadequate, cold, missing items! Not what was paid for!! Plain burger came with cheese when requested plain....

Iam fed up with this mcdonalds! Time and Time again I have had issues with this place over certain things and I will not be holding back this time. .!! Mcdonalds is a great place for someone to start their customer service career, but clearly something needs done about the training of staff regarding attitude to customers, behaviour and respect. Half the staff are young adults, not babies, so they should know how to behave in public and really should know better. Im not saying this is all of the staff at this restaurant but its happening more frequently and i think something needs to change sooner rather than later.......... They shouldn't be talking about their personal lives while customers can hear them and have respect for what they are saying and who are listening. From a shift managers perspective and someone with over 15 years of customer experience this angers me to see staff talking and dealing with customers the way they do. At the end of the day customers are always right and should a person need to complain about something or express how they are feeling with their food quality or the way they have been treated, they should be able to speak freely and listened to politely without being disrespected or spoken down too. Also the way they handle food and practically throw it at you is rude, aggressive, disgusting and disrespectful. The food quality is barely acceptable and Im pretty sure Food Standards and Environmental Health would agree with me here. The food is cold 80% of the time and on numerous occasions food is either missing ingredients or missing items on orders. I will be taking this matter further as this has gone on far too long and something needs to be done...
