I placed an ordered for a meal at 8:30pm on 29th September 2022 at Pretwich branch. I waited for nearly 2 hours and then on my Papa Johns app it said it had arrived. I then waited another 15 mins. During my wait I rang the store at least 20 times and no one answered. I had to then drive to the store myself to enquire about my order. There were 3 men working and when I asked about my order and how unhappy I was having to wait that long, the first worker told me that he was sorry the system was down and nothing they can do and walked back to making his pizza. He wasn’t interested to listen or sort out my enquiry. I asked why didn’t anyone pick up the phone and he said because he is the only one who speaks English and he was busy however as I left the second worker spoke to me in perfect English. I asked them to phone the deliver man to ask where is he with my order. He rang and told me he had already left awhile ago and will be there in 10 mins. So very rudely ask what do I want to do cancel the order and refund take 3 days or wait. I returned home to wait and 5 mins later the delivery arrived. When the delivery man arrived I told him I wasn’t happy having to wait that long for my order. I asked him when did he pick up the order from the store and he said ‘just now as you were there they ring me’ So they lied saying he was already out delivering, he was still at the store. Read morePlaced a order for delivery.. and after an hour I checked the phone app for delivery status. It said it had been delivered and to enjoy. Erm no it hadn't. I rang up to question this and the man on the phone said it will be with me soon and blamed the weather. (the shop is ten minutes drive to my house and roads were clear) he assured me it was on its way and it was just freshly made by him. I said fine. 25 mins later my partner rang up frustrated as our order still hadn't arrived. The same guy answered the phone and told my partner that they don't actually have a delivery driver, that they was waiting for him to show up to work. Not only did he lie to me when I rang first, he had the cheek to tell my partner that he told me this over the phone! How dare he! My partner vented his anger of course he knew he was lying to him about what he told me. He asked to cancel the order and the man working for papa johns on the phone (Sunday 19th march 13.51pm) couldn't care less. Over a hour and half to find out our order was never actually on its way or was ever going to be. WHY accept the order if no driver was available? and WHY LIE to a customer. And they said "are we missing cheese on food cost target?" To which the other guy replied "yeah we are trying to bring it back in line today by undertopping"
I heard the full conversation and this explains why my cheese and tomato pizzas had a light sprinkling of cheese and garlic cheese sticks had no cheese whatsoever, I paid over £30 for this meal and this is absolutely ridiculous, I have tried to resolve the issue with the store to no avail, you have a 100% satisfaction guarantee where you will replace any inedible food, all I'm asking for is replacement or refund of my food which has been sat here waiting to be replaced from last night, nobody is wanting to help resolve this issue, the store are currently telling me to wait for a manager, when I know a store cannot be opened without a manager present, what kind of nonsense is this that your shift supervisors can't replace or...
