First visit to this establishment not a good impression.
Staff extremely aggressive, clearly had a problem with a customer ordering a side order of chips only. The cashier tried to upsell me unwanted drinks and meals at the counter and rudley implied I'm not worth thier custom just to cook chips on its own.
Moments before leaving the restaurant table where I sat down to eat, the ungrateful staff cleaning another customers table noticed I had a small bottle of Evian water next to me and shouted "Excuse me next time no food from outside". She then proceeded to talk about me to her Thai friend in their own language.
The HYPOCRISY of lower management in this restaurant is quite shocking. I'll explain why.
During the time I spent inside the venue waiting on food to be cooked and even whilst eating my snack, two youngsters teenage boy and girl joined the table nearest to the window, the girl had NOT purchased anything from the restaurant, yet was allowed to occupy a table, when the boy accompanying her ordered one main course meal in a bowl, no starter, no drinks, no desert, no side order, she sat opposite him, arms folded, in a bad mood over some petty issue in thier personal lives. The boy was spotted by his mate who came over to the open window to catch up on gossip, and remained there for over 20mins which I found frustrating that it didn't once seem to cross the staff's mind that perhaps their "valuable" customers were their priority over someone passing by gobbing off which echoed thoughout the dining area and spoiled the experience of their customers.
Golden rule: Respect EVERY customer. I suggest you all learn from reading my review, this gave me enough reason that I shall definitely NOT be returning.
I will not be abused by anyone in a town I had not visited for over 20 years, I really looked forward to seeing Bury again today as I have been living in London and have recently moved to Manchester.
It was s lovely warm summers day and a busker was singing on a mic outside the interchange which I could still hear within the restaurant....

In Bury ( especially the day time ) it seems a world of bacon sausage chips.
Great to actually come to a place that cooks fresh vegetable stir fry meals which are tasty.
Although they do offer the typical full English meals as well. I just prefer something cooked in a wok, with fresh Jasmin rice. Yummy. And more healthier.
Only gripe is no cards accepted, only cash ...which is a pain for those who don't do cash. Always found that odd when a card reader system is literally £20 to buy and set up...then a small 1% charge, which can be passed on to the customer.
Also the fan extraction could be better to reduce the strong food odours, that linger on the clothes two days later.... but when the weather is warm enough to open the windows then it's fine.
Overall, a decent place to visit in the day time before three pm. I've often tried to go around 4 /5 mid week; and they have been closed unfortunately. Maybe just bad luck on those specific days.
Still.... definitely worth a visit to try....
Read moreI was really looking forward to ordering from here. There aren't many Thai restaurants nearby and this had been in my radar for some time I was shocked when the salt and pepper tofu turned up, and it was stone cold and in tiny containers. Usually, the standard is to put them in a large container but it was tiny. It had about 5 prices of tofu in and it was so cold I had to reheat it which turned it rubbery. The standard of it wasn't even great. The chips were the same and expensive, they were just warm ups thrown with some onions and carrots.
The Thai yellow curry went straight in the bin, as it had about 5 tablespoons of salt in it. This is the worst curry I've ever had, and I have no idea how on earth that much salt ends up inside a dish. Is there no tasting of the food before it's slopped into a container? There's zero love and passion in the food and it shows. Shocking, avoid at all costs. What a waste of 34 quid. Overpriced isn't even the word. I'm angry I've wasted so much on absolute rubbish. Seems to be the...
