Koffee House — Restaurant in Calderdale

Never again! We went in about 2 months ago and while ordering at the counter, we saw the chef with the whole of his thumb in his mouth sucking off some food. We nearly walked out there and then but ended up ordering and vowed never to return. We thought we would give it a try again. The young lady behind the counter wasn’t exactly a barrel of laughs. She seemed to take great delight in telling us twice, without a smile, what we couldn’t have, and if she had told us in the 1st place that we could only order from the breakfast menu, it would have saved a lot of time. It was laughable really, they had 2 chefs on, only one table occupied, and she refused to make us a cold sandwich at 10am. Must be great when you can pick and choose your customers. Visited with my grandma this week, Never again! The older lady who brought our order looked miserable! Pastries were like saw dust and the scone was like a solid biscuit that had been heated up?! Dry as a bone! We tried to try catch someone’s attention but not one of the staff members approached our table to ask if we were okay like most places do.
