Havent been back in a while but as the burgers are good, I fancied one. Looks like they have settled on a reasonable fry that is somewhere between the bog standard takeaway fries and the premium crispy ones they had at first.
Portion sizes aren't bad, especially on the kids meal. The drinks are great with a fizzy lemon and mango that are a nice change from the usual coke/pepsi at most places.
Ate in, was a nice and air-conditioned upstairs room that seemed really clean. Would recommend!
First time trying it, and not bad at all. Got the simply smashed burger, came with chips and a drink for £7- priced on a par with say, Burger King. The fries were lovely and crunchy, the burger was similar in style to those at Five Guys. The fizzy lemon drink made a nice change to always seeing only coke/fanta/pepsi options. I ordered a tub of bbq sauce which was huge!
All very well presented in nice branded packaging.
The negatives- I asked for my burger without salad and it came with lettuce and onion, this would normally mean I'd have to bin it or suffer the consequences (long story) so, would be careful around allergens as mine was the only order being cooked so it wasn't due to being overly busy.
It was all a bit bland. The burgers needed salt and pepper when cooked and the fries needed salt. Fortunately, I am an experienced takeaway eater so had some in the car. Lastly, no napkins means I'm typing this on a very greasy phone!
Would definitely give it another try.
Edit. Seems a lot changes in 4 days. Went back for a 2nd go. The drinks have now halved in size, the crunchy fries are now bog standard takeaway chips, served cold and slightly soggy.
Ordeed added donner meat to the two chips with the smashed burgers, got it on one. £4 for two slices of lukewarm donner. Asked for original chicken in the chicken box, was still that spicy it burned. Still...
Read moreWe were waiting over half an hour for a burger and fries and a portion of fries and paid separately.. bit of a joke waiting 30-40 mins for a portion of fries for myself… anyways we shall skip past that to what i witnessed whilst i was waiting. the lady behind the counter began to dig her fingers into people’s food on the hot tray!! she did not have gloves on and was filling her cheeks like a chipmunk!! i also witnessed the same staff member spitting in a bin. It was also unprofessional as the kitchen staff and the same lady must have had a bit of a dispute.. probably over her eating all the food they were making for customers and she walked out and said she was leaving… to then return 2 minutes later with a box. Once finally receiving my food and 2 other customers witnessing her eating off the hot plate, i honestly felt grossed out and did not want to eat the food. we stayed positive and went upstairs as there was no seating and sat in the booths as the other tables had chairs on them. the same lady followed us up the stairs and began huffing and puffing as i presume she had been told to take the chairs from the tabes if there are customers. very dissatisfied, did not eat the food as couldn’t get the image of her unwashed fingers going into my food. There is a photo of the woman attached. not the best as i think she had an incling…...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Mr. T's at King's Cross, I was not only treated to exceptional food but also encountered a friendly and welcoming staff at the counter. The warm service added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The restaurant itself was well-maintained and clean, creating a comfortable environment to savour their delectable offerings. Mr T’s interior decor is warm and cosy. Their upstairs sitting is quite good. Notably, their commitment to consistent taste across their dishes is truly commendable. If you're seeking a dining experience that combines flavorful food, friendly service, and a clean ambience, Mr. T's is undoubtedly a standout choice. Based on what I tried I recommend their Pizza which costs 8-9.5 £ per pizza. Their beef burgers and smash burgers are quite good and tasty. The price I paid was 10 pounds. I also enjoyed their quad Patty Burger was delicious it's called Fantastic Four Burger. I paid 9 quids for it. Their Peri chicken was lovely and was served with steak fries. It cost around 9 pounds. Normally price per person will...
