Big Boys Pizza (Canterbury) — Restaurant in Canterbury

Overall, it was a great experience.

The food was very good, which surprised us a little as the venue appeared to be like any other fast food outlet.

The lad behind the counter was very attentive and polite; taking care of whatever we needed.

The only points that kept this review from being 5 star:

In-house pizzas are apparently cheaper than the prices quoted in the menu. What the actual prices are, I don't know. Why they're not on the menu is also a mystery.

A 15% service charge was added to our bill as we ate in. This may have been stated on the menu, and I might've missed it, but I didn't get an itemised receipt, so I thought we'd been overcharged. Whatever the case, the business owner was reasonable enough to refund me the service charge. This gesture, coupled with the great food, is why I'll be going back to Big Boys Pizza again...

My wife never fancies pizza but last night she actually suggested it! I have started trying to come away from the big food apps and find places with direct ordering online so I did a google search for pizza in Canterbury and saw Big Boys Pizza. Read some reviews and ordered a 20” half and half for delivery. Pizza arrived sooner than they said and was nice and hot and MASSIVE 👍 It was by far the tastiest pizza I have had in Canterbury… yummy! My wife likes a seafood pizza so we had half seafood and half meaty. Made one change to each at no extra cost. The only thing that I could possibly even improve is that there could have been a few more shrimps on the seafood half, other than that, really couldn’t fault it at all. The standard base is lovely too, not too fat and bready. Looking forward to visiting for their pasta soon...

I stopped off here late lastnight with a very short time to grab something and eat it. The ambience was really relaxed, it was very clean and bright and had such a welcoming feel to it. The staff were really polite helpful and attentive. I asked for something small to take away to eat in my vehicle which they see me pull up outside in. Once cooked I went to walk out and the gentleman kindly invited me to eat inside, relax and enjoy my meal. This was really nice of him to allow me to do that. It was much appreciated and thank you to him. I would certainly use again...
