There aren't a lot of places that let my mum bring her wheelchair in, and it is typically with a reluctance that shows in the service. Here, she and I are always warmly welcomed and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are friendly and kind, and you'll soon see why most people become regulars. The service is so quick that we once had our food in the time it would take some to put the order in. We typically come for a Sunday roast, and the portion is massive for the price. My mum has a small appetite, and just managed a specially-sized plateful. I had the kid's size, which is about a third smaller, and was a tiny bit over-full. We took what we couldn't finish home last week, as it's far too good to waste. My dad usually doesn't eat lamb because of childhood experiences of it being badly cooked, and he felt confident to eat the whole thing here.

The other place where she's welcome is Pantelli's, and I think that anyone who likes it there will...

Went here as a stop on the way to a long trip and walked in about 10:15am and as soon I walked in 4 members of staff were surrounding the door and looked at me as if it was closed. It was very intimidating to say the least. I then said I wanted 2 cold coffees to go then a staff member just walked off with no word. I went to the main bar area and ordered the coffees from there then was told it was £10 for 2 coffees which between them was essentially half a pint a milk in each, a bit of sugar and 1 shot of coffee through a machine with a cardboard straw. All the while the coffees were being processed we were being stared at by about 3 members of staff who were still standing around the door. The whole atmosphere was very strange and we couldn’t wait to get out of there. We walked away feeling like it was some sort of strange...

So second visit in two years. Both times i have left feeling over charged and hungry, as left half of my meal. Over priced and cheap products. I had a breakfast. It was so bland, flavourless, and really over priced. The bacon was like cardboard. Egg small. Although advertised as crusty, the bread wasnt. The mushrooms, although plenty of, were flavourless, as was the black pudding. The only bit i liked was the sausage. At £9.30 i felt it overpriced, and said so to the waitress when paying my bill, who literally said nothing in reply. I wouldn't go again. Only plus we're the service. Very attentive in ordering, serving and taking my half eaten plate away. And the flat white I had was nice coffee. I have seldom written a bad review, but just felt I couldn't recommend a breakfast here, and people should know it's very dear for...

Excellent proper caff' located on the edge of Canterbury, Wincheap.. There aren't many great places to find an honest, decent breakfast around these parts, but this is one of them. And they're open on Sundays! Walking in off the street, you enter a clean, neat, simple eatery. Laminated menus offer standard fare: a number of set breakfasts, omelettes, sandwiches, lasagna, all the basics at reasonable prices. The friendly waitress took my order and quickly served our tea and coffee. Our dishes arrived pronto too; a table of 5 ordered ahead of us and roughly 10 minutes later we were ploughing through our large plates of food - Iooking for a great start to the day ... the place to be is Cafe Solo

I was really impressed with cafe solo. We went there for breakfast and I really couldn't fault the food - I wanted a good fry up and that's exactly what I got. The milkshake here is also some of the best I've had around Canterbury, actually made using ice cream with a dollop of cream on top. The only reason I haven't put 5 stars for the food is because it didn't wow me like my other 5 star reviews, but it was still very decent. The staff were super friendly but gave us the space we wanted to eat together, the space was clean, and we were even surprised with complimentary Turkish delight. Overall, would recommend. They have a small carpark, but there are supermarkets nearby.

I'd been pestered for weeks by my son to take him here so I took my daughter this morning. I'd had an ECG at the doctor's earlier, so the timing felt apposite. We opted for the Solo Special which was quite excellent. Properly cooked black pudding rather than the cremated blood patty I've been given elsewhere in Canterbury. The eggs, bacon and mushroom were all cooked to perfection. The table was spotless and the staff were courteous and polite. Parking available too! A great experience, as was the ECG test earlier on.
